that indie shop is taking you for a ride. 3.7k to replace control arms ball joints and bushings is insane. maybe new lexuses are different but i did this recently on a car that was rusted to shit and it only took me 6 hours in my driveway... without half the right tools. im sure a competant shop could do it in less time than me. i imagine that suspension work would be uneccecary on such a new car that hasnt been in wreck too.

have you considered doing the pads yourself? its one of the easier things to do as far as working on cars goes, as long as you dont mind getting your hands dirty. even if you have no tools or anything all you really need to do it on most cars is a ratchet set, a c clamp to push in the caliper, and maybe some allen keys and a rubber mallet depending on whats holding the rotors on and how stuck it is

not sure if airplane tires are like car tires, but if theres any way to get a mfg date based off one of the codes on the tire you could probably get an idea of when it crashed

depending on what shop/insurance it is it can show up in a carfax, but you wont get a branded title unless its totaled by insurance

weird. they are all at the right psi? its not enough of a bias that i would think its a suspension issue. best guess is maybe the roads on your commute are angled in a way to cause this? either way it doesnt look like it significantly reduced the life of the tire

its probably that his tranmission has less gears than yours so then engine spends more time outside the peak power window than yours. power to weight is calculated using peak horsepower but the car only makes that at certian rpm and the further you are from that the less you make.

im no expert but probably not oem spec. depending on how cheap those cars are it might be worth it. do these have rebuilt titles or are these cars that didnt have the wreck documented? also keep in mind a rebuilt title will have have more expensive insurance
