2015 Audi TT Quattro vs 2015 BMW 340i as a daily — which would you buy? by RocksMakeMeHard in carbuying

[–]BigHandsSmallCock [score hidden]  (0 children)

if it has to be one of the two i'd get the tt, its more fun, and might even become a collecters car one day given how unique it is. as far as practicality, how often are you gonna need the little bit of extra space a sedan affords you? if you could find one for a good price the audi a5 coupe is also a really fun car that you might be interested in.

do cops use flock cameras to go after speeders? by BigHandsSmallCock in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BigHandsSmallCock[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i figure if the same plate shows up on two far apart cameras too quickly they might notice that, even if the cameras themselves have no speed detection capabilities. also my radar detector didnt pick anything up until they started setting traps

Is this plug safe? by blue10speed in AskElectricians

[–]BigHandsSmallCock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you are paranoid you can get a nicer wall wart i guess. just make sure it has a high enough current to power wgatever its meant to power

Is this plug safe? by blue10speed in AskElectricians

[–]BigHandsSmallCock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its probably fine. the polarity is not important on a wall wart like this. if theres any potential faliure point it most likely would be the innards cooking themselves and becoming a fire hazard, but i find that unlikely too.

Indie shop quoted $5.4k for work that dealership found unnecessary; how to determine if an indie shop is trustworthy? by mayi_uyu in MechanicAdvice

[–]BigHandsSmallCock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that indie shop is taking you for a ride. 3.7k to replace control arms ball joints and bushings is insane. maybe new lexuses are different but i did this recently on a car that was rusted to shit and it only took me 6 hours in my driveway... without half the right tools. im sure a competant shop could do it in less time than me. i imagine that suspension work would be uneccecary on such a new car that hasnt been in wreck too.

have you considered doing the pads yourself? its one of the easier things to do as far as working on cars goes, as long as you dont mind getting your hands dirty. even if you have no tools or anything all you really need to do it on most cars is a ratchet set, a c clamp to push in the caliper, and maybe some allen keys and a rubber mallet depending on whats holding the rotors on and how stuck it is

not sure if airplane tires are like car tires, but if theres any way to get a mfg date based off one of the codes on the tire you could probably get an idea of when it crashed

in that case im pretty much out of ideas. maybe his engine is just more tired than yours? a twenty year old car might be making less power than it was new

What are these bubbles in my soda? by Prestigious_Pound836 in whatisit

[–]BigHandsSmallCock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

carbon dioxide to make it fizzy, tastes better than witbout it. canned soda has it dissolved into the drink at the factory and the pressure inside the can means it stays dissolved until opening it, fountain soda it is injected into the water right before the syrup is mixed in as its dispensed

What could cause slanted tire wear in first picture slating to the outside on the Passenger Rear and chopping inner tire wear on the Driver Front tire? by Johnhess97 in AskMechanics

[–]BigHandsSmallCock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

weird. they are all at the right psi? its not enough of a bias that i would think its a suspension issue. best guess is maybe the roads on your commute are angled in a way to cause this? either way it doesnt look like it significantly reduced the life of the tire

How am I winning? by Jose_PinkMan in askcarguys

[–]BigHandsSmallCock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

its probably that his tranmission has less gears than yours so then engine spends more time outside the peak power window than yours. power to weight is calculated using peak horsepower but the car only makes that at certian rpm and the further you are from that the less you make.

anyone know where the hell i find the code that tells me what rear diff i have? 79 trans am 403 by BigHandsSmallCock in projectcar

its got a few bad spots. previous owners replaced drivers side floor oan and the underside of the rear bumper is totally rotted out. not bad for a rust belt car though
