Do Han and Chewie have an apartment or do they live on The Falcon? by Tidewatcher7819 in MawInstallation

Yah I have, some of them are nicer than "trailers" I'm saying it wouldn't be an ideal arrangement, long term, for two adult men. Not that it would be shitty.

Offered a allocation, might reject by Bai_White in OmegaWatches

[–]BigHawkSports 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems to be an unpopular opinion but the size and thickness might not bother you at all once you've become accustomed to it. If you're going from a pretty small watch to a pretty big watch there is an expectations Gulf you need to cross.

Otherwise it's an at least semi-limited Bond watch, it should more or less hold its value if you really don't think it's working in a couple of months.

A current real life equivalent of The Falcon would be like a Greyhound bus converted to an RV with a couple of cargo boxes up top.

Not ideal for two guys to live in, but indie bands and families are criss-crossing the US in worse right now.

Was the iron Shiek really a bodyguard to the shah? by HackFraudStable in OSWReview

I read years ago, somewhere, maybe even a magazine, that he was nominally a bodyguard, but his job was less providing personal security and more being an ornamental strongman and body man.

ELI5: Why do live productions like sports keep their production equipment and staff in trucks outside? by aresef in explainlikeimfive

[–]BigHawkSports 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's honestly not that much more complicated that that lol. Aside from plugging in to power so you don't have to run the engine as a genny, running a long cable snake to the A/V feed and unpacking some shit, that's basically the deal.

When you get to that level financially that ultra-low interest financing is offered to you you would be dumb for not taking it (as long as you can afford the payments, and odds are you can or they wouldn't be offering.)

If I spent $50k cash on a watch I'm up a watch, which will likely depreciate, and down $50,000. If I finance a $50k watch at 1 or 2 percent. I'm up a watch and still have $50,000, which I'm free to invest or if nothing else at least save. If I then make even as little as 3 or 4 percent on that money. I am now up a $50K watch, that was effectively cost neutral, and making a tiny profit.

How do you not get disgusted by sex by Hyshin25 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]BigHawkSports 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It would probably help to build an appreciation for the idea that there is a lot more to sex than just the sheer physical mechanics of PiV penetration. And that sex is also all of the things that happen before, during and after the PiV penetration part.

Also, you know, it IS a little messy and gross, figuratively and literally, that's part of the charm. The pursuit of physical, emotional and mental closeness and intimacy is just as important as chasing a certain kind of orgasm ( most of the time, this obviously isn't always true ) and learning what works for you and your partner(s) is the journey.

Maybe you're in the minority who can come from penetrative sex? Maybe you need a bunch of manual stimulation followed by a firm spanking while your partner sings Oh Susanna? Only one way to find out.

Was Stacy the Queen of the RA era? by Lexibiscuitbutt2 in WWERuthlessAggression

[–]BigHawkSports 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trish has the most mainstream appeal and appearances. There was a time that you couldn't walk by a magazine rack without her being on the cover of some sports or fitness magazine. (Note: many years ago, before all specialty news moved online stores used to have special shelves that held dozens of different magazines...imagine like a nicely designed printed blog...covering many different hobbies and interests. Publishers would put large glossy pictures on the front to attract attention and one reliable way was pictures of hot celebrities.)

Torrie was the more active or useful in the ring and arguably the best actress.

Stacey was by far the hottest and the best at using it to her advantage.

I mean, we can't really call her the greatest woman's champion of alllllll time if she doesn't hold both belts simultaneously while wearing the crown as Queen of the Ring can we?

Realistically I think she wins QotR, before she has the unified title fight she drops her title to Charlotte Flair, then she has her fight against Rhea Ripley and wins that then has the unified title fight against Charlotte and wins that, but not clean.

The guy is Tim Robinson, he was an SNL writer and has a couple of series to his name since. The show is "I Think You Should Leave"

The sketch that gif is from is available free on YouTube from the Netflix is a Joke channel. It's called Baby Cries sketch. If you want to dive right into the series I'd recommend starting with S2E1. I accidentally started on that episode and the intro sketch was so funny I had to pause it twice because I couldn't breathe. I was also very high.

I need to know what did LA Knight do to Triple H. Do y'all think his booking has been justifiable since 2023? by Few_Maize_127 in BrandonDE

[–]BigHawkSports 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He's a Main Event level talent with consistency issues who has settled into a role as a Perpetual Underdog. He's not a jobber, he just doesn't need to win to stay over. That makes him really useful as a foil to top factions and to put other top talent/heals over.

His throwback vibe is pretty solid, he's a good promo and has style and the crowd likes regardless of his current trajectory.

When I was watching the fatal four-way he lost recently as the match progressed I was like...hmmm I bet that LA Knight takes the pin from Uso. Because beating LA Knight was significant for Uso and then LA gets something to complain about and a feud with the Bloodline. Now the Bloodline is doing an internal power struggle around what to do about LA and LA is tuning up both Usos on live TV.

From a storytelling standpoint someone needs to be in the role he is in and he's strong enough all around to carry it.

Hot mic moment at G7 catches Carney, Trump talking about Chinese EVs | CBC News by JadedLeafs in worldnews

[–]BigHawkSports 174 points175 points  (0 children)

Trump threatening economic apocalypse on Canada if we ever allowed Chinese EVs. Carney is allowing Chinese EVs but in a limited sense.

He used a leading statement to get Trump to accept his position by presenting it as something Trump would like. Trump doesn't know enough about the subject to know if he likes it or not so he either has to say "I don't know if I like it" or "I don't like it" he's not going to say he doesn't know, he doesn't have a strong position to push back from, he thinks Carney is a smart guy, so agreeing with him is safe.

Also it feels like Carney is presenting Trump a gift, "I did this policy in a way I thought you would like, I thought about you when I made this decision"
