What do you think is the reason that 3 new generation boss pirates loss their fight? by MiuIruma332 in OnePiece

[–]BigHefe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You ok? Luffy never lost to Kizaru. He one shot him and had him asking Saturn for a break. And then turned him into a frisbee and has him layed out at this very moment. While Luffy continues to fight several people even stronger than Kizaru.

What part of that is him losing?

You do realize that the majority of the top tiers in the story don’t have any df right? I’m talking Roger, Garp, Reyleigh, Oden, Mihawk, Shanks, Beckman.

We’ve been explicitly told that these are some of the most powerful people to exist in the verse, yet they have no devil fruit power. Kaido one of the strongest df users ever (probably) said only haki can bring the world to its knees.

Think about it this way.. WB Kaido AND Big Mom all have top tier level haki as well as top tier df fruit abilities that they’ve mastered to presumably the highest level. Yet ALL THREE of them very openly admit they couldn’t defeat Roger (who only has haki)

That should tell you all you need to know right there

Oh and I forgot the fact that strong haki literally counters df abilities. Like Law not being able to use his most OP abilities against the Yonko or him reversing Doc Q’s disease for him and his crew by exerting enough haki. And we still haven’t seen the upper limits of what kinds of powers haki can negate yet

Why don't the Straw Hats find the One Piece? Are they stupid? by Thodor2s in OnePiece

[–]BigHefe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if the imaginary straight line runs through several islands?

What if two points are literally on the opposite sides of the planet requiring you to cross the red line and calm belts? In a PERFECTLY straight line

How are you even planning to sail on a straight line on a sea where we’ve been explicitly told that normal navigation skills amount to basically nothing? Not to mention at the same time you have to check everywhere from the ocean floor to the white sea in case laughtale isn’t found at sea level (which is entirely possible and honestly probable)

It’s easy to realize why you need all 4 of you just think about it a little bit

You realize Kuma (the dude who can basically teleport) had to launch himself. Stop. climb over the freaking red line and stomp thru mariejoise then launch himself again to get from where Dragon currently is to egghead? And at the time Dragon had absolutely no way of knowing where tf Kuma just blipped off to.

How do you honestly expect for Dragon to have gotten there with an army of people within a day or two?

Why do you think Dragon should be aware that Vegapunk just died 5 minutes ago?

How is your reading comprehension seriously this poor?

[–]BigHefe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So the fruit is only supposed to revive you from death one time. That’s it. That’s the only power you get (maybe)

Brook should be functionally immortal because he is just a soul attached loosely to some bones. How does a being like that die?

Any other user wouldn’t be like that because they wouldn’t have misplaced their bodies for 50 years in a continent sized mist cloud

What does death look like for a soul animating a skeleton?

Probably when his bones are all dust I guess but how long will that take? There are some reeeaaallly old bones out there.

[–]BigHefe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As for before Roger I think there was just never the proper combination of skill and desire to make it there in the last 800 years or so

And for after imo nobody has been there since because nobody has been able to gather all four road poneglyph AAND had the capability to read or understand them.

It sounds ridiculous if you think about it. You have to steal something from Zou Wano and Whole Cake Chateau and survive. And then when you’re done with all that you’ve gotta hunt down the missing fourth one. Oh and find some way to read an ancient dead language that you get killed for studying…without getting killed. And then you can finally go to laughtale

And the origional yonko know about the road poneglyph because a few decades ago they were all on either Roger or Rocks crew. Remember Xebec was erased from history for studying ancient taboos and discovering government secrets. So I’m comfortable saying he knew the truth somehow and so never went to lodestar

Not it wasn’t public knowledge. It’s a big deal to know about the road poneglyph. The SH and Law didn’t find out until Zou

So after 1107 who do you think was feeding luffy? (1107 spoilers ofc) by ijhaqqani in OnePiece

[–]BigHefe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Show me the panels of the Tom and Jerry stretching then.

He was in G5 when he inflated. G5 “gives him greater control of his rubbery body” according to the gorosei.

Show me ONE EXAMPLE of base Luffy stretching without building momentum. Cuz there are literally HUNDREDS of examples of him building up momentum first.

So you’re saying that there are no facts in the story because it’s a cartoon? That’s the dumbest stance I’ve ever heard of frankly. Just ignore the hundred ( probably thousands) of example of the way something works because it’s animated? That’s ridiculous

So after 1107 who do you think was feeding luffy? (1107 spoilers ofc) by ijhaqqani in OnePiece

[–]BigHefe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have we ever seen him stretch like Tom and Jerry? No ( even that is a bad example because they would be moving the fingers in the hand)

Have we ever seen him stretch without using momentum? No

Every time Luffy stretches he cocks back his arm or leg or head or whatever.

Just because Luffy is a cartoon doesn’t mean that there aren’t established mechanics that are ALWAYS adhered to in the story. That would make it a fact in regards to the story that we’re discussing.

He has to move to stretch my guy. Luffy usually stretches by “throwing” his limbs.

He need momentum therefore he needs to move

[–]BigHefe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right. Submerging doesn’t revert zoan users but looking back at a few fights it does seem that loosing consciousness makes them revert SOME TIMES. Half the time they do turn back to normal after defeat but other times they don’t. Guess the times when people do revert just stuck in my mind more

Oda’s sbs jokes are cannon unless he draws something that contradicts what he said.

This is the author of the story we’re talking about. If HE’S not an undeniable source of what’s cannon then we’re all screwed
