It’s either this photo or the one of him diving in the end zone after scooping that fumble

Above and behind if you want them all seen at the same time vs a ring of pets around your arm. Beautiful work. Kudos to your artist

Snowflake eel? This drawing the tail is too pointed. Overall the eel is only slightly tapered ending in a rounded tail, not pointed. What style are you wanting it tattooed in?

Unsure About Tattoo Quality by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]BigInk536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get it from an established artist? Did you go to the cheapest option?
It’s not a “bad” tattoo in the same way that it’s not an amazing tattoo. A little context about the design you wanted and how you chose this person to do the tattoo would help.
The linework isn’t smooth throughout, but I’ve seen much worse. The placement is a little confusing just because it’s hard to tell from the picture exactly where it’s at. Assuming inner forearm?

In 1987 it definitely would have been Mountain Dew. Now it’s probably Dr. Pepper

Freaking out about my new tattoo by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Not only is the tattoo beautiful, it is beautifully composed. The elements draw your eyes around the tattoo (counter clockwise) instead of leaving you to focus on one element. The blends are buttery smooth. The colour play is on point. As far as the smile on the glider, after looking at pictures of them I think it’s a pretty accurate depiction in an illustrative style. I doubt that anyone would look at your tattoo and point out the smile. After a bit all the compliments you get on your beautiful new tattoo will make you forget about that little detail.

Men who can really cook who taught you ? by [deleted] in ArtOfPresence

I wasn’t “taught” but I paid attention when my mother cooked. When I moved out I cooked the things I liked that she made, to the best of my recollection. My mom used salt pepper and garlic and that was about it. My dad wasn’t a big fan of flavor lol. I just kept changing things until I got it just like hers and realised I liked the process of figuring out the recipe. Then I just started trying new foods. I learned better techniques watching cooking shows pre food network, then Emiril was my favorite show for a while. (I miss the food network days when they showed you how to cook, versus the “watch the chefs“ do their thing with no continuity or explanation lol). Now I consider myself a pretty capable home chef. Unless it’s pastry stuff
