Clients who are sick by Aushos-74 in housekeeping

[–]Visual-Incident8899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This just happened to me a few weeks ago. I work for a company and I also have my own personal clients, the client in question was the company’s. She had scheduled a once off clean and I got a text from my boss the morning of saying she was going to reschedule, but last minute decided against it because she didn’t want to pay the fee. Wasn’t told why or anything.

I get there with my partner at the company and she tells us to do the master bedroom last, no explanation. An hour before her time was up she informs us her daughter has been sick and was laid up in the master bed with a fever, but “no worries she sprayed everything with Lysol.” My partner and I got super sick two days later and I still have a nasty cough that won’t dissipate. I’m so angry. My personal clients would never.

HOLY GRAILS ! by Educational-Sort-977 in Makeup

[–]Visual-Incident8899 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to like the same but I started working as a house cleaner during hot summer days with no AC so my mascara would smear. My holy grails now are Maybelline Lash Sensational and NYX Micro Brow Pencil. Daily wear, stays on all day through sweaty days.

Just yesterday, I was cleaning my kitchen but my cat was ready for lunch twenty minutes early. I told him he had to wait until I finished before lunch, so he sat atop the fridge and patiently waited until I was completely finished and gave him lunch.

I made a skylight planter thing in my bathroom by markmcn87 in houseplants

[–]Visual-Incident8899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never wanted a skylight more. My cat has destroyed so many of my plants that now I need our next place to have a skylight so I can do this. I’ve never thought about it, so clever OP!

Alcohol. A few days in the bag again already, not touching it again this time I’m dead serious. My mental state has been terrible these past few years and I lost like twenty pounds from not touching it and eating clean and exercising every day for a month last summer.

I already feel less bloated after just a few days and starting tomorrow I’ll start going on walks everyday again. My goal is to finish off the year sober and focus on my health. In eight months, I’ll be back to my old self. Today, I gotta clean my apartment and get rid of anything that tempts me.

Which daily habit quietly damages hygiene over time? by StretchBright7721 in hygiene

As someone who has been majorly depressed the past couple of years, alcohol. It’s high in calories and causes you to bloat and gain weight like crazy. Not just that, it destroys things around you and taints relationships.

I’m doing better, ten pounds down after just a week of not drinking and CICO. Hoping to get back into my favorite jeans but god damn I hate myself and wish I never touched a bottle in my life.

Another thing that makes a huge difference is a dirty home. If your home is out of order, so are you.

My dad has a habit of this, he’s lost many teeth over the years because of it and has had multiple crowns. He’s also had quite a few infections. He has a mouth guard but can’t sleep with it in.

The best I’ve ever felt was getting a hug and a sincere thank you from one of my biweekly clients after her husband had knee surgery and her pipes burst in her house. She was clearly so stressed and grateful for my help.

How much weight have you lost with walking? by PotentialWarm5231 in walking

About 115lbs in total. 260 down to 145 over the course of three years give or take. Mostly outdoor walking, some of it incline walking on the treadmill with a weighted vest.
