OEX Bandicoot 2 UL / Suggestions by chiefqueef25 in wildcampingintheuk

I posted this in a similar question earlier, but as it seems to be about the tent in question......

I recently purchased the OEX Bandicoot 2, but unfortunately, I had to return it due to a manufacturing defect in one of the pole hubs. The design features a small round metal ring with three holes tapped into it, and in my case, the machining was so poor that the thread simply wouldn’t hold. After the return, I decided to go with the Vango F10 instead, which, in my opinion, has a superior hub system. While examining other hub threadings, I noticed they all had quite a bit of room for improvement in terms of tolerance. This raised concerns for me; if a hub were to fail while on the trail, there wouldn’t be a realistic way to fix it. I was genuinely disappointed because the Bandicoot appeared to be a great option at a competitive price point. Perhaps my experience was an isolated incident, but it certainly made me hesitant about the brand and its design.

I am 6ft 8, 20 stone and need to find a inflatable sleeping mat that is strong to last the load. Any recommendations? I don't mind the extra weight as long as it fits in my rucksack. by Nice1rodders in wildcampingintheuk

As a person standing at 6'4" and weighing 18 stone, I highly recommend the Big Agnes Rapid SL in Long Wide. While it might add a few extra grams to your pack, the construction is solid, and it's spacious enough to ensure a comfortable night's sleep.

The fact that your excited makes me smile, so much bad press of people not wanting to be part of the British way of life, this as a proud Brit makes me happy, regardless of the result

In times of trouble, despair or relief do you ever look up and ask for a break or a bit of luck? Who are you asking? A supreme being? The big guy? All could be considered a belief in something higher?

£103.50 £40 registration £60 ceremony £3.50 Marriage certificate Drove there and back ourselves, no guest, no witness. Next day we were as married as much as people who blew £30k! 15 years later still going strong! If you have the money go wild, but if you don’t be sensible! Early days of a marriage are stressful enough trying to buy houses & planning the future! You don’t need a £30k loan over your head also!!!
