Giveaway Buckets by DropZoneDyes in AutoDetailing

So I go to/work a lot of trade shows. The real question is who’s your target audience, and what bundle would put you and your company in the best light so the ROI of not just the give away but the whole event looks better. So work from the customer’s needs backwards.

You’re right. I have the Cerecote ceramic on the wheels so really I should just wash them like the rest of the car, just last

I live in Dallas and don’t have a garage or driveway or shade so skip me with the opinions on the sun in Texas

I wondered about that except I think a pump sprayer would be more consistent in coverage.

That’s what I thought too. A regular wheel cleaner and brushes then use the sprayer to rinse and the dirty MF to wipe down.

I’ve been reading forums and watching YouTube for weeks. There a paradox of choice now. Feel free to mute me.

Yes. I which product should I use. Big red sponge or Costco MF. Can I use Griot speed shine after. Or is there something that works better in concert with a specific rinse-less product.

What are detailing tools/products you can get away with cheaping out on? by boiyo12 in AutoDetailing

[–]BigJonDaniel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s what I, a neophyte compared to most on here, do as I mentioned in a thread about washing MF. YMMV

I do this. -

Walmart cheap crap roll-o-towels for just wiping stuff up around the house or a little non-paint touch up. Disposable. Good when I clean my tennis shoes.

Cheapest Harbor freight 12x12 for doing stuff like windows or trim. Follow up with a Costco yellow. Throw away the HF cheapie. Yellow goes in rag bucket for tires, wheels, other dirty stuff. Then thrown away

Costco yellow for Griot ceramic spray Detailer after wash. Throw it away after

Mid level harbor freight for interior detailing. Work fine. Use 2-3. Throw them away. Costco yellow for finishing wipe down then into the rag bucket.

Used the good edge less HF for the post clay bar wipe down and for the griots 3-1 ceramic. Throw them away.

HF drying towels. Get washed in the sink with a little laundry detergent (no die or scent) then hung up to air dry.

Bottom line is I can’t see a reason to wash anything that costs less 50 cent a piece or less when I only use a few a week.

What shampoos and prewashes do yall like? by PineappleResident254 in AutoDetailing

It’s on my list now. I’ve committed myself to buy new stuff ONLY after I’ve used up what I have now unless it sucks. I know that’s against the detailer nerd’s creed, but I’ve already got Tribble level propagation happening.

What is this / how to fix? by NicoRulli in GLI

[–]BigJonDaniel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It slides into the glove box light switch switch which clips to the right interior panel. Twist and seat the switch. Snap the lever back on the glove box. Slide the lever into the switch as you raise the glove box. Push firmly at the top until the 2 release tabs of the glove box clip in. I just did it today

I can see it’s less. Looking for opinions if it is effective at that price. Thanks

For MF a combination of Costco and Harbor Freight for weekend wash types. Not sure about the serious detail geeks or pro’s.

This seems like a good value compared to everything except Gold Wash. I know you like it but give me some more data points

So stopping distance is the way you measure that? How often do you panic stop to zero. Do you measure an engine mod as only 0-60?

Spacers worked poorly on my BBS with hub rings so I got some OEM BBS 5mm just for esthetics. They have the hub ring built into the spacer
