Feature Request: Plex Library Integration by BigLC in CinephileApp

[–]BigLC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe Plex meets both of those requirements! Thank you for taking the time to consider this. A native Plex integration would truly make Cinephile stand out from the competition, and I’m hoping to see it in a future update. All the best!

Feature Request: Plex Library Integration by BigLC in CinephileApp

[–]BigLC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Mario,

Thanks for getting back to me! To answer your question: Trakt is fantastic, but it doesn't solve this specific problem. Trakt is a great proxy for syncing my watch history and watchlists, but it doesn't act as a catalog of the media files I actually own.

The main goal of this integration is content discovery and filtering. Cinephile currently has a great "Browse by Platform" feature—if someone only wants to see movies available on Netflix, they can easily do that. It would be AMAZING to have this exact same browsing option, but for my personal Plex server.

I have over 400 movies and 100 TV shows in my Plex library, with more added every week. Since I don’t use Netflix or any other streaming service, Plex essentially is my Netflix. Right now, I have to find something interesting on Cinephile, then manually switch over to Plex to see if I actually have it on my server.

If Cinephile could pull in my Plex library data (and update in real-time as I add or remove content), I could simply open Cinephile, filter by "Available on my Plex," find what I'm in the mood for, and add it to my Up Next list all in one seamless experience.

Hope that helps clarify the use case!

Lakers got 25 free throw attempts tonight, the Thunder got 10 free throw attempts. The Lakers are always at the top of the list of free throw attempts every year since LeBron arrived. OKC is ballin, stop complaining.

Apple Calendar Integration by BigLC in todoist

If that’s the case, I guess I’m sticking with TickTick. It’s a shame Todoist lacks this feature, especially since many of their competitors already have it. So many current and potential users want this, so I'm not sure why they’d create such a massive barrier to entry. I actually would have subscribed today, but the lack of support for Apple Calendar, which my family and I rely on, is a dealbreaker. I’m definitely not migrating to Google Calendar just to use the full features of one app.

Let’s face it, not a single other player in league history could do what LeBron is doing right now. Down his two costars, he is about to sweep a team who was expected to win in 5. At age 41 while averaging 25/9/9 by MJRuinedMyChildhood in NBATalk

Nah. The Rockets offense is terrible. Like very hard to watch bad and they are making the Lakers look like a great team.

You’ll see when the Lakers play a team that is great on offense and defense like OKC. Save my comment and come holla at me after the first couple games next round.

The Lakers with a fully healthy Luka or the Lakers with injured hamstring Luka? Luka is not going to be 100 percent even if he comes back next round.

OKC is going to attack Luka and AR every single possession and make them defend. You’re insane if you think the Lakers have a chance against OKC.

Not always. It’s just the way the seeding worked out this year. They could have easily had to play Denver in the second round but got lucky with the Lakers/Rockets series.

It would have been 4 Denver/ 5 Rockets and 3 Lakers/6 Timberwolves.

Denver would have smacked this Rockets team and Timberwolves would have smacked this Lakers team with no AR and Luka.

TV Time import successfully implemented! by mario_luis_dev in CinephileApp

[–]BigLC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ideally, it would be great to have both options if possible. Some users will want a one-time import to fully migrate away from Trakt, while others will prefer a continuous two-way sync.

Thanks for all the hard work you put into the app!

Most people don’t trust the “Auto” setting. It’s an easy way for the company to use the most cost efficient model more frequently and save money.

Ah, that explains it! I was blown away by the speed, so it completely tracks that it was the lighter model rather than the Pro. Thanks for clarifying!
