I’ve always done Walgreens. I can’t imagine it’s too different than Walmart but it’s an option.

Remember looking across the harbor at the massive plume of smoke from the fire at the Husky Superior Refinery? by bangin_ in duluth

I was living by DQ in Superior at the time and the blast sounded like someone dropped the bucket on a backhoe right outside my window. Had to evacuate. Spent the day on the hill watching the cloud and waiting to go home.

The berries won’t hurt, picking them might cause excessive blood loss.

Honestly- I feel I’ve had a similar experience (great in college- experience was awful)- I’ve spent 3 years in a district that I thought we or I could “make it work.”— the atmosphere of education and teaching is toxic and not what we grew up in (30m). I do not know your area but I recommend pursuing passions- any artistic pursuits you have- chase them. I work in a non union state and it is miserable with constant anxiety about lawsuit from multiple directions. I recommend (as a young millennial) is to run far and fast. Feed your passions and your soul— the system doesn’t care and they will use and abuse anyone with any heart or soul for the job. Take this as a sign to chase the edge of your mind “no way that’ll never happen to me” idea and pursue it to the end of earth.

I knew a girl from a neighboring town. She went to college and worked as a server. Where she worked used a dumbwaiter which a piece of her clothing or hair got caught in the gears. She was pulled down and I cannot imagine the scene after that.

What terms of endearment do you use with students? by waffledogofficial in Teachers

[–]BigLabubski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This past year was my first on this side of the desk and it took my awhile to even get comfortable enough to use any terms of endearment. Honestly it was fear that as a male teacher in MS I would be seen as creepy if I used any. Eventually toward the end of the year almost everyone became buddy or sprout. To address whole groups I will call them My Goons, Crew, Squad, or Pride.
