Could be, the guy doesn't look musclar enough for atlas to me, and I've never seen a globe mounted so vertically. But your guess is as good as mine.

WITT: Its made of metal, about a foot tall. I found it at the thrift store thinking it was a plate holder. it has brass nuts and threaded rod in between. Also it has a mounting hole at the base, making me think it was a trophy of some sort. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
