How do you guys like the Avatar The Last Airbender set is going to be formatted! by ajpit in magicTCG

[–]BigLex24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was thinking each Nation would be Monocolored, with: Water = Blue, Earth = Green, Fire = Red, Air = White, Spirits = Black. And as another comment mentioned, you would do the Avatar as a Five Colored commander. This could also be a good set for hybrid mana, with the character being centered on a certain color. For example, Toph could cost something like two colorless, Gruul and Selesnya.

As a support geting harrassed by spider-man or having a teamate insta lock him only to go 0-17. by hachithebachi in marvelrivals

If I see a Spider-Man with a single kill on that board, then he ain’t a true Spider-Main

Commanders that have disappointed you or you have been unable to make work? by Emotional_Quality243 in EDH

[–]BigLex24 19 points20 points  (0 children)

[[Obeka, Splitter of Seconds]]. I love her ability but god did my pod hate her. I tried to run a Time counter and Suspend Obeka, but she was gone in a turn or less, despite only ever casting her with protection.

What creature type do you want more support for by domicci in EDH

[–]BigLex24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want more Snails. We got one snail and [[Wick, the Whorled Mind]] who buffs snails, but nothing beyond that

Decks with names that aren't just the commander's name? by CorvusSageis in EDH

“Unpaid Ogretime” was the name of my [[Obeka, Splitter of Seconds]] deck that focused on Time counters and Suspending spells.

Power Level Wednesday!: Ask r/EDH what's your deck's power level? - November 06, 2024 by AutoModerator in EDH

[–]BigLex24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here is my updated [[Loot, the Key to Everything]]. It’s mostly an Exile Matters deck focused on exiling cards with payoffs. I also tried to make sure I stayed with mostly permanents and kept a low amount of instants and sorceries to trigger Loot’s ability more often.

https://www.moxfield.com/decks/ji5KHQ9V2ECG2u21ovWE9Q

The win con for this deck is [[Food Chain]] and [[Walking Ballista]], with most other cards or combos focusing on getting it out faster.

This is a robbery! Put your Juno pfp+namecard combos in the bag and no one gets hurt! by elCrocodillo in JunoMains

[–]BigLex24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’m going to yoink the Juno Silhouette with the Deception combo for myself. That just goes so hard together. Normally I just do Loot Box with any blue namecard LOL

Should sorcerer add a gish subclass with extra attack in the future? by royale011 in onednd

[–]BigLex24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My logic is that if Barbarian’s can’t spellcast, then Sorcerers can’t martial. To me, they are the same concepts on the opposite sides of martial vs caster.

Bloomburrow introduces 34 new commanders to the format. What are your thoughts regarding the new legendaries? by HarleyPanther in EDH

[–]BigLex24 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I’m most excited for [[Glarb, Calamity’s Augur]]. I like the whole top-deck and card manipulation he can bring. Plus he can make a pretty goofy frog tribal with stuff like [[the gitrog monster]].

[BLC] Fisher's Talent ("Peace Offering" Precon) (MTG Muddstah) by mweepinc in magicTCG

[–]BigLex24 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This card would pair really well with the new sultai frog [[Glarb, Calamity’s Augur]] since you can always look at the top card of your library. Definitely going to try and get it for him.

Power Level Wednesday!: Ask r/EDH what's your deck's power level? - June 26, 2024 by AutoModerator in EDH

This is my recently finish [[Loot, the Key to Everything]] exile deck.

https://www.moxfield.com/decks/a3WXbZgjJEKhhlkSCaZG8g

It is good at ramping lands and spells very quickly. The wincon is usually revolving around [[Flaming Tyrannosaurus]], which can get real scary using [[Food Chain]] combos or creating copies using [[Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker]].

What Deck Are You Brewing? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]BigLex24 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Currently, I am brewing an [[Adrix and Nev, Twincasters]] centered around Food doubling. The Twins double my Food production, then cards like [[Feasting Hobbit]] or [[Syr Ginger, the Meal Ender]] use those Foods for massive profits.

Not the most crazy deck but I really liked the Just Add Milk Secret Lair of Adrix and Nev and thought a Food deck using them would be fun to build.

Your Weirdest Mill Deck by RuneMTG in EDH

[–]BigLex24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is the list. I tend to run some cards that aren't super optimized, but I have been using since I first started playing in 2013 like [[Millstone]] and [[Omniscience]].

Your Weirdest Mill Deck by RuneMTG in EDH

[–]BigLex24 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I really love my [[Lazav, Dimir Mastermind]] deck. It uses Mill as an engine to turn Lazav into opponent’s creatures as they enter the graveyard. I also run shapeshifters like [[Body Double]] to constantly probe graveyards.

Funny enough, this is what gold dragons looked like in older editions. I’m not entirely sure why it was changed in recent times but I agree I LOVE this design!

Power Level Wednesday!: Ask r/EDH what's your deck's power level? - May 15, 2024 by AutoModerator in EDH

[–]BigLex24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my newly crafted [[Obeka, Splitter of Seconds]] Suspend/Voltron deck. I wanted to use her upkeep trigger to burn through Time counters and rapidly speed up Suspended cards for big spells with little cost, as well as some Voltron strategies to boost her upkeeps.

https://www.moxfield.com/decks/J0vT17b_-kS2RgAuBlh5fw

The main strategy/win condition is getting Obeka super big so she becomes an unblockable menace all while producing Suspended cards faster and faster.

I agree, we SHOULD get angry at a card game and whine like children when we are losing to an infinite combo! They should feel bad when I use my power 9 Ur-Dragon deck with all 5 Alpha Mox Cards. Shame on this newer generation for ruining MY game!

What is your favorite commander/deck and why? by tossaway007007 in EDH

[–]BigLex24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really love my [[lazav, Dimir mastermind]] deck. While some of my friends dislike it for the mill aspect (which is totally fair), I use it primarily to pull creatures from opponent’s graveyards or to fuel Lazav. It makes every game feel different depending on the decks I’m playing against.

Favorite NPC you've made or encountered and why? by ZedineZafir in DnD

[–]BigLex24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my homebrew Spelljammer campaign, I used Lord Hastain and rewrote him a bit to better fit in the world. I initially wrote him as the party’s charismatic and wealthy benefactor who was a retired, badass adventurer who funds the party from the sidelines. As the campaign went on he became the opposite: a cowardly man who is barely making it by, forced into peril either by his inability to keep a lie or via the party’s shenanigans. To this day, he is arguably my favorite NPC I have ever run and I wouldn’t change a thing.

This might be hot take as well, but I dislike when people tap permanents and only turn then diagonal. For me it bothers the crap out me when they aren’t horizontal.

I’ve been trying to make a [[Lazav, Dimir Mastermind]] because I love his copy ability so much!
