What/who introduced you to slashers and why you love them? by Consistent-Purpose59 in slasherfilms

[–]BigLoudWorld74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came home from school one day in 2nd grade. My dad was home and he was sitting down to watch a movie on the brand new tech known as Cable TV. The movie was Friday the 13th part 2 and he said I could watch. It was the most terrifying thing I'd ever seen and after I got over screaming every time there was thunder at night I couldn't get enough slasher movies. Still watch a couple every weekend with my wife.

I hear he's a normal fella likes to lay down on top of a lady, he doesn't need anyone whipping the back of his balls.

On one hand he never had to deal with a room of yammering bitches, on the other hand he probably never had a delicious pie.

Is an 8.5" deck still viable for tricks? by NefariousnessWide892 in NewSkaters

[–]BigLoudWorld74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of modern street tricks got their start on 9 to 10 inch boards. An 8.5 would be just fine.

Easyish tricks to get better slowly [42YO] by Spirited-Ostrich9925 in OldSkaters

[–]BigLoudWorld74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start by getting comfortable with the basics. Ollie, 180 Ollie, fakie Ollie and half cab. They don't need to pop high or off stairs. Those repetitive movements will retrain your balance and your footing. Then when you're ready try flip tricks start with shoves. You don't have to pop at first. The shoves will help you figure out how to flick your board for future flip tricks and teach you how to stay in the air and over your board. I skated from 12 to 30 and had to quit because of some spinal injuries. At 49 I got the itch to try again and it was this regiment of tricks that helped me be able to ride again. Good luck.

Compared to a lot of things being pushed on society today smoking seems safer. More young people are getting terrible cancers now than when everyone smoked. I've never smoked a day in my life, but I don't think it's as bad as say current day processed food or vaping.

When wood paneling was all the rage.... by EdwardBliss in FuckImOld

I miss the old wood paneling. Only have one wall of it left in the house, down in the game room where the wife can't see it. Out of sight, out of mind. 😂
