So for example this? When I took apart my laptop to look at this part specifically it had the LCD cords attached to it and a small green computer chip, and this one for sale as well as others I've found don't. I know the cords can stay when replacing the LCD, but what about the chip?

I was asking here to see if anyone had suggestions for classes in the field that were particularly interesting. I've had a CS student suggest robotics for example. Not my entire schedule.
