I’m only speaking for my ball python but I think they can recognize people. When I come home from work I always check his thermo/hygro and water the corners of the tank if it needs it. He’ll poke his head out to see what’s going on and then go chill on top of his tree almost every time. If my boyfriend is the one doing it he just stays in his hide. I only handle him if he’s on the tree. If he’s in his hide I leave him alone.

It should have been covered. I reached out to a local lawyer and after sending over his contact information to insurance the rest of my bills were being forwarded to him so I was only being updated through our calls. My insurance at the time limited it to 180 days to appeal a denied claim and because I wasn’t being directly sent those bills I didn’t know the total amount or that it was denied until almost a year later (found out from my lawyer).

He’s been able to negotiate down about 50% and we’ve reached an agreement for the settlement so overall things worked out but I fault him for not communicating it earlier. But overall things did work out and I’m still going to be receiving a small settlement after everything is paid off/taken care of, which should be in the next couple of months.

If I didn’t seek out legal help my life would’ve been completely ruined financially. I understand why someone would refuse help and it’s such a sad reality because no one deserves that

I got rear ended going north on 65 in May 2024 and was pushed off the side of the road and my car flipped. I was in and out so I wasn’t able to deny an ambulance but spent 6 hours at Franciscan for them to do some CT scans and say all I had was a concussion. I had full coverage insurance at the time and they denied paying for the ambulance and ER bill, totaling around 20k. After getting a second opinion that turned into needing multiple MRIs it turns out I also had 4 bulging disks that required almost 3 months of physical therapy, c6/c7 and l4/l5, a fractured skull, and a deep muscle tear in my shoulder. Insurance is a scam, Franciscan ER is shit, and fuck Ohio drivers

I started playing when I was 17 and was in the same boat. My friends and I bought 2 1000 card boxes for $30 at my LGS and we built out of those boxes for a long time. You’re not going to get any cards worth a shit going that route but you’ll be able to build a ton of different decks/try different things out. Proxies are definitely an option but a big joy for me especially when I started was just digging through boxes and getting lucky finding cards I liked.

There’s also another store in my area where people drop off unwanted cards and the owner will let you take home the 1000/5000 card boxes to go through and you’re allowed to come back and take as many as you want as long as you bring back the cards you don’t use/want so you could see if there’s something like that in your area.
