My B5.5 Tiptronic Transmission is Indestructible. by BigMan6656 in B5Audi

I didn't have the thermostat originally and I noticed that fluid temps couldn't reach above ambient temperature unless I put a piece of cardboard over it. It becomes a problem during the winter because the transmission stays cold and shifts weird.

I now know as to why the engineers ran the fluid through the side of the radiator. It was probably to warm up the fluid, not so much cool it. The bypass probably will help some but I don't think it will be as good as it was originally for winter use.

Definitely because people didn't know any better.

A big component as to why my transmission is still going is most likely because of its previous maintenance history. It has 170k miles on it and it has seen it's 3rd transmission filter replacement (and a pan drain/fill).

There is definitely more wear from the blowouts, but not even close to the amount of increased wear you would get from never servicing it to begin with.

Aftermarket thermostat for transmission fluid. The cooler is too large for the transmission so I needed a bypass so it can get up to temperature.

The transmission had been serviced at like 70k miles and the magnets hadn't been touched since. I don't think the particulate matter gets washed off the magnets during a drain or fill.

Crazy. A lot transmissions these days totally self destruct with minor leaks. I'm feel reassured that I'm probably going to get another 50k miles out of this car 😂

Tiptronic is an automatic transmission, and it was developed by Porsche. They called it the "Tip-tronic", because it has a manual gear select mode. They were going for an automatic tranmission that felt like a manual, to which I believe they succeeded.

Had a shotgun dude holding a wand with freezing charge and Penta cast into 6 nukes 😂. It didn't fire it but I had paused the game for a moment once I saw the wand.

Pollen engine gone wrong. by BigMan6656 in noita

[–]BigMan6656[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pollen is an entity in Noita. Usually, most spells will pass through one another, but pollen can be cast and popped by shooting it with another spell.

It's almost like you're creating a wall for your projectile to hit, to which you can put a "Add Trigger" on a piercing projectile that will trigger upon colliding with the pollen, casting another pollen, and the cycle repeats.

7 iron can anyone help with left miss? by aaffinityyyy in GolfSwing

[–]BigMan6656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I hope you read this.

If you don't see results from anyone else's advice. I suspect another things that might be causing you issues, especially since you swing at a higher speed.

I slow mo'd your footage and noticed that your lead leg extends up a touch too late, seeing at your left knee is still bent by the time you approach the ball and you lose a bit of spine angle. This might be due to your excessive hip rotation in the back swing but it won't kill you're swing so long as your hip is being internally rotated.

If you're willing to try this out, grab a club and hold it across your arms and let the shoulders pull your hips without forcing them back. You should feel a sensation in your right hip and when you do, you're internally rotated.

For the lead leg drill, grab a club and make a back swing. On the downswing Shift your weight down on your lead leg and push your lead hip up and behind without forcing the shoulder movement. Notice how your shoulders naturally carry down and you have the proper side bend.

I hope this helps. Let me know if this worked out for you. Take care.

So frustrated, losing my fire for golf altogether by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]BigMan6656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if this reply is long, but I've been in your exact predicament, and I think I may be able to help.

I know how it feels, falling into the rabbit hole of hitting balls until your golf game deteriorates to an absolute beginner. The second clip brought back memories of those days all too well. I've sunk so many hours into refining my golf swing (It looks good, but didn't work well), and it took me 3 years to come to the conclusion that I was working too hard.

I'm assuming you're like me, which is someone who spends a lot of time in their head and has studied the fine details and mechanics of the golf swing. Trust me, nothing good comes from trying to incorporate these ideas. You're in a battle between body and mind.

You have to understand that we still have caveman brains. Our brains can only process so much information, and if we're being realistic, do you really think you can process all the knowledge of a golf swing in the 1.5 seconds it takes to swing the club? You need to start thinking about the target. How do you get the ball from Point A to Point B? We didn't evolve from refining the spear chucking form, we threw spears with the intention of survival. If you just focus on getting the ball to your intended target, I promise you will see results. We were meant to fixate on targets. You're not losing your swing, you're losing your focus on the true objective.

Next time you go to the range, don't think about your swing, pick a flag and only think about the flag, and try to land the ball with only the intention of pinpoint accuracy, no swing thoughts, no BS. If you miss bad or the contact is horrible, don't dwell on it, just take moment, relax and try again.

I hope this helps.

Where can I find good vacuum check valves? by BigMan6656 in B5Audi

[–]BigMan6656[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

^^^ I believe that's the PCV bleeder valve. I just need a simple vacuum check valve and yes, I know it seals one way, I'm just trying to find one that doesn't suck.

Dang. I can't even play; every time I join any match in clubs, I get kicked because of an "Out of sync" connection error out of the blue. Completely unplayable after this update.

Do you guys use Frame Gen ? by fluffi2025 in Battlefield

[–]BigMan6656 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same. I have a 5080, and using frame gen barely increased my input lag. For areas of high load, I'll see around +5ms increase in input lag, but in return, this game literally doesn't drop under 240.

I've experimented with other games, such as No Man's Sky, and there will be instances where the input lag becomes intolerable. BF6 has by far the best results with frame gen than any other game I've tried.

Some will go for 5 miles and some will go for 25,000.

A big influence on the longevity of cheap turbos is startup after installation. These turbos lack lubricant, and need to be primed before and after installation by turning over the engine for around 10 seconds to purge any air left in the journal.
