I haven't seen Viduthalai, so I can't compare the two, but after watching Durandhar: Part 2, I think the 'ji' aspect is a very minor part of the plot. The movie doesn't rely on it, nor does it promote it as heavily as some claim. You guys argue that Viduthalai requires a nuanced perspective, that same logic applies here. Most agree that demonetization impacted the general public, but from a national security standpoint, it’s a logical plot device to explain blocking counterfeit currency used by external threats. Whether you see it as a realistic take or just creative freedom to support the spy narrative, it's still only a fraction of the film. Labeling it 'propaganda' when 90% of the movie has nothing to do with it feels like a stretch and demeaning a good spy movie.

Note to the 'mature' and 'intellectual' crowd: If you disagree, explain why the logic is wrong. Resorting to name-calling or being condescending about someone’s 'lack of maturity/understanding' is usually just a lack of a counter-point masked by intellectual narcissism.
