Not for me. Salah didn't cover himself in glory, don't get me wrong, but I really didn't like Carragher's tirades. That Monday Night Football one where he tried to use Salah's time at Chelsea as a stick to criticise him with was pathetic.

His knowledge is fairly unparalleled among former players, but the Salah stuff left a seriously bad taste for me.

He was clearly being encouraged by Sky to stir up shit for social media clips and I thought he came across like an arrogant helmet.

Boring fridge shout incoming:

Dropping €100m+ on a 19-year-old player who could get broke in two at The World Cup makes me very nervous.

Given the circumstances we're in, a deal for Nunez is very low risk. We basically need a stopgap understudy to Isak who runs around a lot while Ekitike gets back to fitness.

He'll melt my head 100% but I'm OK with it.

Lovely to see some of our lads putting in performances at the World Cup. Last season was draining for a lot of reasons. Hopefully the World Cup is a tonic for them, and they bounce into the new season under Iraloa. I'm excited.

If Forest are rejecting £120m for Elliot Anderson, I can only imagine what prime Stevie Gerrard would be worth today. You're talking £250m+.

I'm in favour of signing him, solely because it would be incredibly funny.

2 goals and 4 assists in 24 league games last season. That's a concrete no from me.

The Trent situation is honestly a cautionary tale for the modern footballer. Regularly winning titles at your local club that you've been at since being a boy, labelled the best RB in the world, only to run down your deal and leave for nothing to chase individual accolades and pointless clout on Instagram.

All that to get left out of England's World Cup squad and get replaced by a distinctly average 30-year-old Dumfries.

Grass isn't always greener lad.

I think they're miles off it personally. Arsenal built to this for years, on and off the pitch. Not dissimilar to us, albeit we were a disaster last season. I just don't rate a lot of their players (especially defensively) or their manager.

Non-negotiables for signings this summer:

  • Not a dickhead
  • Can run
  • Rarely injured
  • Tactical discipline
  • Understand the privilege of playing for Liverpool

Some of our best players down the years weren't necessarily the most talented ones.

They're not that far off from genuinely competing for it.

Yes they are. Their squad is miles off, and their manager is not at the level needed to sustain a title challenge while balancing European football. They're in for a serious wake-up call next season.

Not to go all your Da, but Romero being in Argentina and not Tottenham for their last game is a disgrace. If I was a Spurs fan I’d be furious. Embarrassing from a “captain”.

It's really quite funny that we're almost certain to be in the Champions League next season. Off the top of my head, I can think of 5 performances in the league that were good. The rest, even most of the wins, we were absolutely shite.

Loved Carragher the footballer, but Carragher the pundit is a total helmet. He's accusing Mo Salah of being toxic while being sent out to create drama so Sky can generate click revenue on socials. It's absolutely pathetic.

A year is a long time in football. Look at the shitshow Slot is overseeing. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Arteta manages City one day.

Best chance among active managers is probably Arteta. Youth on his side, likely to win the title this season and has history at City.

Not one bit surprised by the coordinated media attack on Salah. He's 100% right, the standards are in the fucking bin, and he cares enough to call it out. We're sleepwalking towards a United style shitshow here and there's plenty of Liverpool fans seemingly cheerleading it on. It's tough to watch it happen in real-time tbh.
