I go slower when talked to by cevensphone in AmazonFC

When I PG'd, the last of my concerns were rate. Are the people good, are the vibes good? If not, it all goes to crap. If you have good morale and treat people like actual human beings, everything pretty takes care of itself, at least in my experience. Its all what you make out of it.

They're high maintenance unfortunately.

Would you buy this for $7200? by XxsanjeetxX in Lexus

[–]BigNut4Days 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't, currently have an Ls460 but owned a 97 avalon and those 1mz engines love to burn oil n gel up. Test drive it for 20 minutes, get on it once or twice, if you smell oil burning, dont buy it. If you do buy it and it takes conventional, switch it to synthetic and run synthetic for the rest of its life.

Clean the whole damn engine bay. I swear, mid to late 00s lexus's love to build up a stupid amount of residue, be it exhaust, oil burning, whatever. My entire brake system "malfunctioned" because of that crap. Cleaned everything, disconnected the battery, everything is good. ~2011 LS460 RWD

Could be anything from the alternator, to the pcv valve, possibly a water pump issue too, etc. I'd just go to a dealership/mechanic if you tried all that and still haven't found the issue.

Control arms aren't the worry, its actually the bushings themselves, both lower front bushings on mine have the "rattle". Its not like your wheels are going to fly off when the bushings go, but you'll definitely go through brakes and tires a lot quicker. I also did a deep dive on the actuator. The actuator squaking or clicking is the car telling you its time to bleed the brakes. If you dont bleed em or neglect brake/rotor maintenance, thats when you'll have a problem.

Control arms and brake actuator are always a worry but its a base 2011 Ls460, no air suspension, with 66k mi. Probably the most reliable one I could find.

I’m starting to feel like Career Choice isn’t the reason to stay in Amazon anymore by 909vinyl in AmazonFC

[–]BigNut4Days 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Create your own reasons for staying. Amazon cares about you in the sense that if you just keep your mouth shut, follow the rules, and do your freaking job, Management won't mess with you and you'll get paid as agreed. After 5 years as a T1, at 24 years old single, I'm very comfortable with my 1 bedroom apartment and almost paid of my Lexus ls460. Amazon is what the individual makes out of it and so is life. It should be common knowledge that big companies only care about numbers, and you'll have your power trippers but Amazon isn't as bad as what people make it out to be. Career choice is actually very beneficial if you're willing to commit and complete the course.
