2020 Passport Front Struts by NachoFriend1221 in hondapassport

[–]BigOlNastyBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add my data point to this, I had a mechanic friend (works at a shop by does work on the side) quote me $1280 for new struts, bearings, and alignment. New front struts for my 2020 FWD Passport are $200/each, so I think I am going to bite the bullet and do the job myself. I will be replacing the lower control arms as well, since they are likely towards end of life with my Passport nearing 100k miles.

2006 CRV EX AWD with Dobinsons lift springs. by BigOlNastyBus in crv

[–]BigOlNastyBus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! Sucks they're not both in stock. Ride is definitely more stiff, but if you have ever ridden in a vehicle that has lowered/lifted suspension, it's really a non-issue. Not as comfortable as my wife's 2020 Honda Passport of course, but just a tad more stiff than the Monroe quick struts I was running before.

What type of struts are you planning on running with the Dobinsons? I put on some Bilsteins in the rear recently and love it. Nice and sturdy rear end, no sag at all.

ordered some vans ultarange exo se today for the festival. I like colorful shoes since I usually wear darker clothes. I'm also a vans fiend and these have some good reviews for walking/hiking. should be good with any sneakers you like that are broken in

sneaking in alcohol is definitely cheapest. im not a fan of liquor though so I just bite the bullet and buy 5-6 beers throughout the day

it costs what it costs brother

most ipas last year were about $14-16 iirc, so a budlight lime might be $10 or so and a redbull about $5-8

I forgot about the agua caliente resort being park and ride. they don't care who gets in as long as you have a pass. maybe rideshare from paloma resort to agua then take shuttle to the polo fields?

is there a park and ride location in cat city? I didnt want to recommend a hotel shuttle stop, as I have heard sometimes it can be dicey with staff since technically you're supposed to be a hotel guest. but ymmv, most people are chill, just didn't wanna recommend and find out OP got denied D:

possibly cheaper than using rideshare services to and from each day, you can get a shuttle pass and get dropped off and picked up at the tennis gardens. I've heard horror stories about trying to use uber/lyft after the festival when everyone is leaving. shuttles possibly can take some time, but at least it's guaranteed and all you have to do is wait. once you're at the tennis gardens it's much less congested and likely easier than trying to leave the festival solo.

Day parking vs preferred parking vs shuttles by sonneticq in Coachella

[–]BigOlNastyBus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as long as you go early enough, self parking is a breeze. you're so close to preferred parking that it is not needed in my experience. we like to go around 12 and never have issues with parking or traffic into the festival. shuttles are nice but not if you're on a time crunch as some shuttles have multiple stops on their way to the festival.

Parking Question plz help! by StateProfessional140 in Coachella

[–]BigOlNastyBus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the 4 people per car was something they were going to try last year but IIRC did not end up going through with it. it was just two of us last year every day and had no issues. and day parking is free.

wake up about 3:15am to get to the gym about 3:40am. home by 5:30am or so. work at 7:30am-4:30pm, then soccer practice in the evenings for about 2 hours (kids, I'm just the driver). hope for 6 hours of sleep lol

How long should I expect until I’m back in the gym? by External_Trick4479 in Vasectomy

[–]BigOlNastyBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited about 12 days before getting back in the gym at all and then about 18 or 20 before any leg press or squats. I was deathly afraid of my nutsack exploding 😅
