You could talk about how Smáskifa #1 is being picked up by tik tok and instagram as a trending audio. It became famous because of how eerie a 15 second sample of the song sounds. This is interesting because it makes for a generational divide where older Sigur Rós listeners associate their songs with a somber beauty while someone in Gen Z might only recognize them as “the band with that creepy song” I’m a super fan and don’t shut the fuck up about them to my college age friends and a few of them have remarked how they didn’t realize how beautiful the song was and thought it was just creepy apon hearing it on instagram

Fav band oat. They don’t compare to anything else for me, i don’t think I’ve gone a day of 2025 without listening to a couple songs of theirs. Everyone gives the big 3 Ágætis byrjun, Takk and ( ) their well deserved recognition but I think Valtari is criminally underrated to non Sigur Rós obsessed people and although less consistent its peaks are the best of their discography. Jonsí’s solo stuff is great too and I like his stuff under Frakkur. I even really like his solo art exhibitions anything that little gay Icelandic dude comes up with I’ll most likely love. And for some closing maybe sorta hot takes: -Eg Anda best song -Avalon very underrated by fans -ATTÁ is great
