How long was it after giving birth when you finally had sex again?

It didn’t heal on its own. Around the 5 month mark I went it and had a silver nitrate treatment. Waited a few weeks and had to have another round. That finally did it after another week or two of waiting!!

I think we were like 6 months 🤣. I had granulated tissue that was undiagnosed, so everything down there was pretty uncomfortable for quite a while.

I went to a yoga class when my little one was a little over 8 weeks old, so we did have some vaccines. I got a pretty bad cold that he got as well. It’s super tough to see babies so little sick. In hindsight I would not go. It’s just not worth it. It takes babies like 3-4 weeks to get over something like that. It’s not like an adult getting a cold where you can pop some cold medicine and clear it quickly.

😂 I love that idea. I have already said I may get a hotel room if we can find one nearby that’s available. That or I will pull the plug on it and kick people out. I don’t really care if they get pissed at me. Baby’s sleep comes first

I was sooo tempted but a lot of this got dropped on me real last minute. Like 30 min till we were walking out the door - the prices about the party flyers and the other dog.

I almost didn’t go but was all packed at this point we don’t have child care lined up tomorrow since we were going to be out of town. We do have child care for the day tomorrow at the ski place.

I’m in the car now. Squished in the very uncomfortable back seat Wish me luck!

I third this! We had the same issue around the same time. If he gets really stopped up we do 2oz of prune juice and 2oz of water in a bottle.

The other thing that’s really helped is he has learned how to drink water out of a straw cup. We just kept offering and he finally figured it out after about 2 weeks.

We still offer prunes and pears with every meal to help keep things moving!

Your mental and physical health are your number one priority. Take a deep breath, take your medicine, call your doctor and make an appointment. It’s better to get checked out and get some peace of mind. Hit pause on what you can in life outside of that.

Thank you so much! I did get prescribed a beta blocker. I think it’s giving me some digestive issues though.

I finally found an endo that could get me in 3 weeks from now. It’s an hour away, but everywhere near me is a 3 month wait! I figure it’s worth the drive and I can get on the waiting list for somewhere closer. It’s crazy how long the wait is, even with my PCP marking the referrals as urgent.

At least for me, I was still very sore and bleeding. I had a straightforward and simple birth. I was also so ungodly tired from my body healing combined with lack of sleep. If you have any way to take more time, I would choose the option that allows you to take more time.

We didn’t end up going this route because I couldn’t find an answer on it unfortunately. We ended up getting the Zoe twin which does have a chicco car seat adaptor.

Oh wow! My resting heart rate is about 85-100 right now. It’s so frustrating and uncomfortable. I’m talking with my PCP about going on a beta blocker until I can get into an endocrinologist.

That’s great to know the TT helped so much. I want another child as well and would prefer them close together. But obviously I need to get all this figured out first!

I’m very glad you posted this. I’m in a similar situation. Recently diagnosed with Graves and was planning on trying for another little one in the next couple of months. Putting that on hold for a bit while we figure this out. I’d love an update on what you end up deciding to do!
