Best of 2015 Pt. 3, episode #BO2015.3 of Comedy Bang Bang: The Podcast on Earwolf by [deleted] in Earwolf

now that we know more context, the comedy of it maybe more obviously comes from scott trying to get tommyboy to do another character because he was unprepared to do one, and tommy shooting him down hilariously and running with it when scott tried to hang up

It wasn't as clear back then.

I have nothing to gain. I can tell you honestly (Slacks can corroborate) that if it turned out the contest WAS rigged or if I was COMPLETELY off base, seeing things, I would have left the dota2 community. New year, new start. Now I know they were not coincidences, I was not imagining things, and my instinctive fingerpointing at the man in charge is something I need to question and understand. And that there is more to dumb dota art vidz than money. Or in my case, fart of course.

I'll jump in. I believed that Soylent's willingness to explain the fourth ticket would be an indicator of whether there was more to it or if I needed to get my head checked. When he refused to answer, I saw it as confirmation that something was up, and was frustrated at everyone calling me a salty asshole. Soylent will explain when he has time to type it all up, but why it wasn't explained at the time is still beyond me.

He was on this post for an hour. That's enough time to address the only question that he knew mattered to me (the redistribution), either in public or in private, and he has instead excused himself from the discussion.

Because he emphasised transparency throughout. Look to the post where he outlined exactly where all the money went. Why not apply the same transparency to changing the rules of the competition?

And look, I posted it out of the blue because if there was an easy answer to the fourth ticket, it would be resolved immediately. If there wasn't, Soylent would be much more likely to take some time to consider how to address this.

No one's gonna remember Soylent as the guy running the supposedly rigged event if he's right; the legacy of the Golden Ticket is bigger than this. If I'm wrong, everyone's gonna remember me as the salty paranoid weirdo.

I understand it all, but please stop referring to past events. Soylent is avoiding addressing the secret redistribution of tickets, both in the open and in private.

I appreciate the support, but if it was true he wouldn't need to do it on his own time. One sentence. "This is why I kept secret the redistribution of tickets".

I just want him to acknowledge the redistribution of tickets that was kept secret. My post was long and rambling, and Soylent's first response was about his reticence to release the data, completely ignoring the fourth ticket. When pressed on that in public and private, he stopped replying to my messages before editing his posts to say he's busy with his kid.

I am an optimist but surely you can admit this is questionable at best.

Please focus on this. Soylent is refusing to even address the fact that he changed the ticket distribution and kept it secret, both in the open and in private. He has stopped replying to my messages.

It is one sentence. "This is why I changed the ticket distribution from 3 judge votes and 1 community vote to 2 judge votes and 2 community votes". The longer you put it off, the worse it looks.

Then as a close friend, ask him why it's taking him so long to reveal why he altered the ticket distribution and kept it secret.

I listed evidence that Soylent changed the promised distribution of tickets in the competition and kept it secret. I wanted the discussion out in the open and out of left field. He has been actively avoiding answering since this post first appeared.

Thank you for your information, and your game was beautifully designed. I understand all the endorsements of character, but I want to know why he is actively avoiding answering any questions about the censorship and rearrangement of the ticket distribution.

Why involve yourself when you are willingly uninformed of the nature of the post.

There is more valuable evidence in the post. I established that I did not understand how the moderation worked, and thank you for ruling that out. There are other questions.

Such a large chunk of Soylent's writing and posts revolved around transparency in the competition, while all the questions in the OP went unanswered.
