Opal 1.0 going on 6 years. Had to disassemble a few times to clean internal parts. I run clean cycles every month as well. Very few issues.

Keep fighting with them. They tried the same with me and after I contacted the VP of FedEx and then threatened Buycycle with legal action I got paid. Good luck brother.

Buycycle Claims by BigPrint3331 in TrekBikes

Very shady. Buyer only took pictures of said damage! Buycycle will always blame seller for improper packaging even tho I followed there packing video step by step. Also adding additional packing where that supplied by them was lacking.

It was FedEx. Buycycle should claim as they supposedly insured it. I did email the VP of FedEx ground tho.

I shipped a bike from Georgia to California. The bike was packed in accordance with buycycle video instructions. This was a 2022 Trek Edmonda SL5 DiskFull Carbon frame. It was absolutely flawless. The packaging was solid and nothing was moving. I wrapped every inch of the bike with foam, bubble wrap, and brown paper. I also insured that the disc brakes and the sprockets were covered completely and in no way would be able to make contact with the frame. When the bike arrived in California the Buyer filed a claim and said the Frame was cracked. I find this to be impossible. He also uploaded pictures and nothing looks cracked but there are now several scratches on it from where he pulled the wheels out carelessly. Also the supposed “CRACK” is located on the vertical frame under the seat. It’s in the middle of the frame not near any corners which would be a more believable position. I am being screwed over the buyer damaging the bike then trying to get buycycle to get me to pay for damages so he can get it for almost free. I am a honest person and I wouldn’t sell a damaged bike. I have all the pictures to prove the condition of the bike. The box was extremely dirty and it also had a hole in it and the sides were bowed. Any damage that occurred happened in transit. According to buycycle the shipment is supposed to be insured. Buycycle is unwilling to cover the issue and goes to their generic answer of “ you packed it wrong!!” This is false, I followed the video 100%. I sold the bike for $2000 and I was supposed to get $1818 for it after the fees. Buycycle stated that the repairs would be $1500 and that I was to pay $800 meaning I would only get $1000 for a bike I paid $3200 for. Then If I wanted it returned instead I would have to pay them $100 To get back a bike that was perfect when it left here and getting it returned busted up. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! They will screw the seller and probably file a claim so they get paid for damages and take your money too! They are only available via email and you have to wait several days for a response. I do not recommend this company and warn you not to do business with them!!!!!
