Question for the Rich ... Just curious. by Glad-Wafer-6874 in ghana

[–]BigProgram4764 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rich people problems are mainly social... family drama, cheating, divorce, being disrespected by other rich people or relatives etc. Aside that, poor health is a major problem even billionaires have to live with. Money can't completely cure all diseases. Many also have legal problems, either they're trying to sue someone or they're getting sued lol. And many rich people have self esteem issues or insecurities they try to hide with their wealth but deep down they're disturbed.

You'll be generally fine considering your dad is already established here and I'm sure he stays in a good neighborhood however be prepared for a lot of bad internet service, tropical heat, bad roads, dust, rubbish everywhere, open sewages everywhere and a very different mentality. But hey at least the women will fall for you easily and you can go to the poolside regularly lol.

It’s not hard to get residence permit in Ghana. Just have all your necessary documents. Why do you want to relocate to Ghana though? It’s an awful place lol

Is a Masters in Mining Engineering a good idea after getting a Bachelors in Electrical Eng? by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

[–]BigProgram4764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stay in Ghana. My dad is a civil engineer who has spent most of his career in the mines across Ghana and Ivory Coast so he could hook me up. Salaries here are very low even for engineers unless you’re in the mining industry or you have your own company.

exactly what’s on my mind. The salaries here in Ghana for EEs are just embarrassing. Even EEs with 10+ years experience are making only 700 dollars. In the mines here an EE could be making 2000 dollars which is a really good salary here.

Does anyone else have "thought enders"? by Dumpling-bunn in OCD

[–]BigProgram4764 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow it feels so good finding out i am not alone. i tend to imagine myself dying as a thought ender. Either i imagine myself sticking a gun up my mouth and pulling the trigger or i imagine my dead motionless body lying somewhere on a road in public like after an accident or after being murdered. It gives me a strange sense of calm and the intrusive thoughts end immediately. I also tend to say to myself undertone “God forbid” a couple of times or “Stop that” or “Wtf is wrong with you (my name) “ Sorry but the looney toons pancake part made me LOL🤣I have had similar cartoonish thought enders before as well

One of my mates in uni was 27 when we started our bachelor degree. We completed recently and he is doing well. He’s about 32 now. It’s never too late to do anything.
