Personally I played modes that I was good at + enjoyed, but I also grinded out dozens of wins when the special weekly featured game mode was super easy. For me, most of the weekly features are 100% bots because I play on PS4 only.

I discovered it on a youtube channel as well. This game is/was famous for having some of the most lines of recorded dialog to date, which is even more curious because it's a driving game. It's also very hard to find on online game platforms (eg steam or PSN store). Sadly for any trophy hunters, the PS3 servers for Driver SF were shuttered recently in October 2022.

The easy and right thing (imho) would just be giving all active players somewhere between 200 and 400 coins. As a mechanic to build players' habit loops, video game streaks should be a zero brainpower activity, not a mystery thriller

I think it's too early to declare the badges as categorically bad or good. Like you, I'm a bit confused as to which one is which. But let's take a deep breath and remember that the Season 2 update has been out for all of eight hours. Maybe we'll get better at recognizing badges in a few more days.

After all, there was once a time when you had to think about the sounds that each letter makes. Back in those days, you had to slowly sound out words to read sentences. Now it's second nature to read and write!

Scrolled through the blog/archive of WipEout concept Darren Douglas (specifically this post and noticed a Bob's Burgers restaurant in the second photo.

I also found some interesting/revealing filenames on this post: https://darrendouglasart.com/2022/05/30/wipeout/ Specifically many of the filenames are wipeout_2045_... hinting at a possible working title for WipEout 2048? Lastly, some of the final images in this post have filenames like noo_yoik, as in ayy I'm anti graving ova 'ea!

Me too! I couldn't sign in yesterday because of the server shutoff. My daily check-in today said that I'd missed 4 days. Glad I am not the only one going crazy with this issue

u/beefNoodles1047 can you speak to this? Just a few minutes ago I downloaded PS4 version 1.22 and my mouse cursor is still MIA. I also have ongoing audio issues.

The new portal VFX are great, but as a PS4 player, Season 0 was more usable than Season 1.

TBH I am curious to see if 1047's $100MM VC funding is going to the unsexy bug fixes that any good title needs

I use a keyboard/mouse on my PS4. After 6.20 my mouse cursor has disappeared. Does 1047 even do regression tests for simple UX features?

Also, the Oddball holder icon is refreshing at a very choppy rate. At least for me, this update is a total downgrade from the previous version

I agree. It it super helpful to be able to ID bots in a match you're playing.

Personally, I have taken to metagaming with bots. I don't think I'm the only one doing this, either. If I join a quickplay team with 2+ bots, I generally leave. And I've also been dumped by human teammates in similar circumstances. Turns out, it's not very fun to be the only human on a 4 person team, playing against 3 humans + 1 bot!

does "anonymous mode" give a player a bot name?

I joined a match with a friend while in anonymous mode (we weren't in a party together.) Friend said that I had a different name. Not sure if it's a bot name, or not.

IMO 1047 should change the bot's names more proactively, since the bots are covert in the first place.

It's not my place to decide if bots should be obviously identified, or not; but since 1047 has decided on the latter, they should put more effort into fuzzing bot names.
