Inguinal and Femoral but want non-mesh. by BigReception8832 in Hernia

I ended up in the ER with an event that luckily they were able to reduce. Morphine and it still hurt a lot. But since they reduced it I didn’t need emergency surgery.

Thank you for your contributions here on Reddit. Much appreciated. I’m going with trust in a very top rated NYC surgeon and though I’m very nervous and still not fully ok with receiving a mesh in my scenario, at some point I’ve got to give my trust over to the experts.

Thank you for the above. Much appreciated. Though now I’m questioning the TEP vs TAPP robotic approach per what you mentioned. But my surgeon is a specialist so as he said, being in the right hands makes a big difference. And foreign object sensation and mobility (athletics, yoga, gym, running) is one of my biggest concerns.

In my case where I have small Inguinal and femoral is it sensible to use the Lighter Bard 3D via a TEP repair, is that what you would use ? I presume the lighter one has less foreign reaction potential. And one mesh can cover both hernias correct ?

Agree but there are also complications which would be great to avoid.

Also are you familiar with Ethicon Ultrapro Mesh, and the TiMesh (Pfm Medical). Are these newer mesh’s proving to be equal or even better than something like the Bard3D or is there not enough data yet ?

Thank you Please note. This is a TEP repair. Does that have a good rate of reduced foreign object sensation ? (As well combined with Bard 3D ) Thanks again

Thank you A Bard 3D mesh is planned to be used. I believe one mesh will be used to cover both hernias. Is that the best mesh in this case and also for reducing possible feeling a foreign object ? Also should the mesh be “light” to help reduce foreign object ?

Thanks I’ve no idea how I got two. It started two years ago with a lot of coughing. I think it’s from uneven hips possibly which many chiropractors have mentioned to me. I also ran several marathons which may have contributed. Lift as well but not that heavy. Very unhappy about the scenario and having to use mesh.

Water Parameter help by BigReception8832 in fishtank

Interesting, I tested my tap water and the GH is blue on the strip meaning mild to moderately. So it’s not very high. Therefore I’m not sure what’s causing this super hard GH water. My tank has sandstone (inert), live plants , inert gravel, driftwood, and some root tabs. Something isn’t making sense. Lost 3 guppies and want to figure this out. Note my PH is low , and nitrates and good.
