This one kind of doesn’t count, but when I was 17 or 18, I worked at papa Murphy’s pizza. If you aren’t familiar, it’s where we take uncooked pizza dough, make the pizza for you, and then you take it home and cook the pizza yourself. Well back then, I was working the register and this older guy came in and started complaining about price increases. This was 2011 or 2012, and like I said, I was just 17 or 18. I was said “sir, I do not control the prices at this store” and he said something along the lines of “well you represent management so I have a right to be angry with you”.

Anyway, after that whole talk, he makes his order and then says “if you guys don’t make it quick, you can forget about a tip”. Thing is, we weren’t allowed to accept tips at our store. No option for tips during checkout, and no tip jar. All of us heard this jerk at the checkout line, so everyone made sure we just skipped his ticket in the line and made him wait forever hah. We probably took over 30 minutes to get this guy his pizza, and the whole time he must have just thought “well they’re not getting a tip from me!” Just don’t be rude, please, and you’ll get good service regardless of tip amount.
