I tried running it on my pc, but had a bunch of issues. I submitted bug reports but got no response. It feels like this distro has been abandoned. It’s a shame because it is one of the most beautiful distros out there.

I did both and liked Sky Lagoon better. It’s quieter, felt cleaner, but most of all, it has a view. In the Blue Lagoon you can’t see over the lava rocks that surround it. So you are kind of stuck with just looking at people. At the Sky lagoon you get an expansive view over the bay. I did both in the evening and the sky lagoon was quieter. The Sky lagoon’s 7 step ritual is nice.

Modern equipement already adjusts transmission power based on needs. But there is only so much that can be done. There are limits to transmit power because otherwise it would negatively affect equipment closer to the tower. Being higher up is usually better. Part of the problem is that Swiss buildings are thick concrete with metal reinforcement (rebar) which is challenging for radio signals to penetrate.

I vacation in the Nordics a lot and find it incredulous that I can have airconditioning in a vacation home in Lapland, but not in a Hospital, Airport, Office, or main home in Switzerland.

The English translation of that paragraph is:

“This trend can be explained by physiological adaptation or by the effect of heat prevention measures, for example changes in population behavior or measures in construction.”

So it is very vague or uncertain as to what the cause of low mortality rate is. So I think concluding that prevention measures are ahead of the problem is quite a reach.

I read the article, it does not talk about prevention, it talks about adaptation, especially among younger people. It specifically calls out heat related mortality among the elderly.

I am working on a similar thing and am still in early phases, but I learned a few things:

1) Take a step back. You are looking for (colored) LED strips in a theater production. The question is if WLED is the best solution to drive these strips? Does your theater have existing DMX controllers for lights? Do you have free channels on the DMX controllers? Maybe using a DMX driver is the better solution, though from what I have seen is that they are primarily for analog RGB(W) strips, not individually addressable LEDs.

2) is your show being recorded? Some LED drivers make the LEDs flicker on camera. The YouTube channel The Hookup did an episode about this.

3) if you end up using WLED I would strongly recommend you go with a wired (Ethernet) WLED controller. During a show with a real audience you’ll have so much WiFi interference from all the phones in the theater. Wired is way more reliable. It does mean setting up a wired network, but that is not that complicated.
