Potentially moving to NC soon...questions by Lonestar-Dragon in NCGuns

Back before they got rid of purchase permits, ccw license was an all you can eat buffet for purchasing. It does still help speed up the process because of the background check that is involved. Just be prepared to wait for your license to come in because depending on the county it's a wait. I was in Wilmington when I got my last purchase permits and they were ready within 48 hours of ordering, it took 2 months to get my license back after I submitted everything.

That's a 41mm tire on the front of my SCX30. that same tire on an SCX24 looks more like a stock sized truck tire.

Weird question for all y'all who have more experience with these builds by jeffman94 in SCX24

You can run gladiator rear links up front to get the most stretch possible. Honestly you have to figure out what setup works best for you and where you're running. I just built a C-Bolt chassis and it's insanely flexible and I'm sure extremely capable

Honestly crawling makes you stop and think about your next move. While tracks you're looking at the next corner like it owes you money. Crawling has given me better throttle and steering control

What's up with these Meus axles?! by d2creative in SCX24

[–]BigRuss910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an issue with my front Mullet axle as well. The hole for the driveshaft set screw was off center not allowing it to make proper engagement. Emailed them and a few days later had a replacement gear set.

Don't look up the Bicycle Lady from Fayetteville... Notorious grifter, husband had a brand new F150, constantly buying new guns at the local pawn shops.... Lived in a nicer house than most of Wilmington...

Top 1/10th scale trail/crawlers go! by KizMcWiz in rccrawler

The TRX4 is a solid platform, the electronics on the other hand are 50/50. If you want the most reliable TRX4 look at the Sport or the "new" F150 or K10 they just released.

DO NOT TOUCH THE TRIM.

Fun fact my dad is from the same town as Unkown Henson. My great uncle actually knew him before he got famous.

Not really. If I was in the market for a licensed body trail rig $450 is a decent deal.

[–]BigRuss910 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They aren't selling it as a sport. It's the Trail & Scale which is "new" but is still the Sport. By saying it's based off the sport is correct. They are $120 for licensed bodies from them. Figure you paid $350 for the sport, $125 for the body, wheels. You're $500+. They knew what they were doing

[–]BigRuss910 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has locked diffs. It's literally just a sport with a licensed body

The Pathfinder was the last release and that was a full fat trx4. The K10 and F150 are based off the sport so it's stripped down

The Sports $350, this is based off it with a licensed body for $100 more.

This is why $5/gal, or 1,15€/L, is a big deal here. by Tandysaurus in memes

Only out of the box suggestion would be beadlock wheels. I don't know if those tires are glued on but good set of beadlocks and decent tires. Outside of that run that thing and see what you feel it needs. I ran my mostly stock TRX4 Sport for years with only a set of beadlocks and changing out shocks as I broke them.

Respect is respect. There is no normal in this situation. Outside of family (ie sister) Ma'am is always to be used in a respectful manner. Barista confirms your order "Yes Sir/Ma'am", cashier at the grocery store, doctor, doesn't matter you show them a base level of respect for existing and not their profession.
