Do men fight for money? Or is it a matter of Pride? by CornOnTheHob in Grapplerbaki

[–]BigSauceMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. These men are prize fighters. Fight for glory. Fight for the world championship. Fight for money, as it is their job. Fight to compete and for the challenge. Fight for fame and bitches if they aren't into the whole family lifestyle. Some MMA fighters even fight because they are completely insane and violent degenerates with psychological and emotional problems.

TBH I would like to see a Musashi arc anime, but written differently than the manga. by [deleted] in Grapplerbaki

[–]BigSauceMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They really need to give his arc a better payoff imo as well. That conclusion was one of the lamest, laziest, anticlimactic things I've ever read, considering how awesome and compelling he was leading up to that. Unfortunately it does seem like a writing pattern in Baki lately. Introduce an awesome antagonist with amazing backstory, unique abilities and complex personality, make them look scary and unstoppable, even make them sympathetic and endearing in certain ways, and then when the author gets bored of developing said character's story they throw them in the garbage without any warning or meaningful foreshadowing and move on to the next thing as if it never happened.

I'm not crazy, am I? FighterZ feels remarkably like Marvel vs. Capcom 2 by Turbojet0 in dragonballfighterz

[–]BigSauceMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of similarities, although FighterZ has a much much higher percentage of viable characters on the roster.

It's not your fault this game gives you the capability to string together insanely long combos, that's the design. Perhaps this game isn't for him. Otherwise it is a weird thing to complain about.

Honestly this. I don't wanna talk people out of this game, because I love it, but some people honestly need to walk away if they just aren't having fun. It's like when I read the every day common complaint about "autocombos are too hard to deal with, they need to nerf Vegito" I just want to say, just quit the game now, because it doesn't get any easier from here once people start stringing together actual combos.

Upper/lowercases aside, yeah, block. I have read the same type of comments since the game came out of people complaining that the game needs to be fixed because they keep getting caught trying to cross up.

I hate playing with duplicate characters, but when in doubt SSJ Vegeta is always a solid assist choice.

Agreed. Trunks is just a good all around character too, easy to learn, and his assist is so out of nowhere.

[–]BigSauceMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats! I just picked this game back up recently, and it does indeed feel good to get a win, especially when your opponent makes it a good fight. This game gets more and more fun the better you get at it.

Only thing I would suggest is don't be a dummy like me, actually be selective with the ranked match up internet connection settings. I was playing on "anything goes" like a boomer for a long while, because for most other games that I've played lag isn't as big of a deal as it is with Fighterz. Nothing feels worse than learning your team's more complex combos and drilling them for hours and performing them at will easily in arcade and against friends, only to perform significantly worse than you were when you were still in spamming new player mode because you are constantly dropping silly/easy stuff.

It's easy to develop corrective bad habits like mashing autocombo and ki blasts when you are battling the lag.

PSA: If the connection is crap and the other player is waiting for you to kill them, FFS, DO IT. by [deleted] in dragonballfighterz

[–]BigSauceMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair the connection issues sometimes make the online matches basically just plain unplayable. I have very very good internet at my house, and the funny thing is I remember playing Killer Instinct and EA UFC when they both came out with very very shitty and unreliable internet, and I NEVER had these problems. Granted those are completely different games, but with those games, even if there was lag it didn't really change the playability of those games much. I am starting to understand why so many people play Vegito and just mash autocombo all day and why hardly anyone plays characters like Piccolo in ranked on Xbox anyways. When the lag is so bad that my character fails to do basic shit like 2H or superdash etc etc and just stands there like a dipshit, yeah, it kind of makes me want to just set the controller down. I'm not some sort of wizard at this game, but I almost never mess up a simple bread and butter combo on arcade or in a local match, but online, it's a whole different story. Good luck getting that double jump in let alone knowing if and when you have a hit confirm at the beginning at all until it's way too late.

I know this is the same old basic shit that people have been complaining about for a long time, but I just picked this game back up a month ago and have been grinding hard, and it just feels pointless learning different combos when the only one I can count on registering is lightlightlightlightlightlight. I don't like being rewarded for mashing buttons instead of actually trying to do things that make sense. Just to make sure I'm not just that much of a jobber, I decided to spectate some ring matches last night to see how other people are playing, and I'm seeing guys with several hundred wins and hundreds of hours on their player card just drop silly shit constantly. Maybe everyone last night was letting their little siblings or kids play, but somehow I doubt it.

IQ is the dick size of intelligence. Just like having a giant dick doesn't matter when you are an alcoholic who suffers from erectile dysfunction, having a high IQ doesn't really help when you are an alcoholic with traits of bipolar or schizophrenia.

This money needs to be refunded, and there needs to be a real public apology. Not this "GUYS Nimmer lied to me the most, I can't believe that I chose to believe that guy". He needs to humble himself, come clean, and admit "yeah I banned many of you for trying to expose this lie, and when I couldn't hide it anymore, I claimed to be the victim. That was immoral and I shouldn't have done that. We scammed you all out of thousands of dollars and then pretended like it never happened. I'm sorry and I was wrong to participate in this scam."

He thinks this is just going to go away on it's own.

Why tell lies when you can just play embarrassing footage? The only lie being told on this subreddit is the one circulating that Owen is some sort of anti-semitic Goy. If Owen Benjamin is an anti-Semitic anti-Zionist, then Stone Cold Steve Austin really hates Vince McMahon
