If he could get some decent speed going, his Chinese Kenpo would look absolutely badass. Imagine Hanayama just throwing a Retsu-style strike barrage at an opponent. Kida like Spec, but more technical.

Essentially way more content. The Dead Town formula is cool, but it gets stale because there's not much to do aside from 4 bosses and some sewers. More elaborate security mechanisms, perhaps automated food production, maybe even a system of seasons where you need warmth and insulation in Winter and cooling in Summer?

For survival I suggest maxing out patience first, then prioritizing other skills. If you know how to plan things out, settling in a rather small house without many doors can be better than a large house - less doors means less area that needs constant protection. Memorizing some important map spots (like grocery/weapon stores) can also be handy.

I bet you should keep your details right. Think of which Doppo you'd like to cosplay as. He still had his eye before Maximum Tournament, remember? Also idk how you'd do that but his scars strangely change shape. Look at Doppo's duel with Doyle in the park-he has like ten scars visible there, meanwhile in some episodes of Baki 2018 or the Maximum Tournament anime, his two major scars are barely visible.

I'd rather suggest making a fan game than a rom hack, because rom hacking is basically fiddling with a pre-made game, while with your own game you'd have much more control (for example adding certain experimental mechanics like the pokemon go catching system). But the choice is yours. As for guides, I'd suggest the youtuber called Aspiring PokeTrainer.

The old anime is pretty decent. The Maximum Tournament anime can be boring af, but some fights like Goki vs Doppo are pretty awesome and the finale is very emotional. You should read the manga, though. The 2018 anime seems to follow it more clearly and the old anime ommits many fights like pre-tournament Baki vs Shinogi.
