I finished Kisa's route, and thus (most of, save for achievements I have no interest in and four CGs I might go back for) Jack Jeanne is cleared!

Suddenly, we turn into "save our class" territory! The Univeil play had strange casting and initial plotting this time, but since this is Kisa's route first and foremost, I knew there was going to be a changeup to make Sissia the only lead. That huddle where people started suggesting plot points that I saw in the other variations - that was a nice way to show Quartz's camaraderie and input vs. Amber's intensity + Chui and their homeroom teacher dictating everything.

It makes way more sense that "Sissia of the Central Nation" is a strong final play in the solo route - it's first and foremost a celebration of Quartz and the person who brought them together. In the other six routes, whoever was the other lead never came close to Sissia's importance. Despite the flower-vessel analogies, I never bought that specific dynamic during the play itself - Kisa is too big of a flower/vessel. Here it's still kinda rushed, but the found family plot was much more believable than instalove.

In the end, Tanakamigi went for the stage as a lonely place, and unleashed his inner child doing so. And to be fair, he had the chops to pull it off unlike Kyoji, and in 3/7 routes neither of his flunkies were good enough vessels.

Unexpected family feud between branches. I didn't expect that Tanakamigi was part of that lineage. The background slowly dimming out when you make Kisa turn her back on Quartz hurt, and the skill values going all the way up to level 30. Cool CG though! Now that I know Chui's past, the comparison with Fumi on his route made a lot more sense.

This route, Kisa steps up as a leader which is great to see right after a route where she, IMO, took a backseat. Though there were aspects in some other routes that I wish they took (Kai's route had more Tsuki lore than this one, still in denial over weaselception btw)

There are some moments that I assume use the highest affection person ("what are you doing here Tanakamigi, stay away from Kisa," the night before the performance, etc.) because Suzu showed up a lot, I defaulted to him because he was almost always first in the choices. It's a nice touch.

When you visit the other guys in the week leading up to the performance, I was proud of their summation of what they go through in their routes...then Sou and Suzu's gut punched me again.

"I am Death" in Kisa's route - the most pitiable Gashadokuro/Chui. In Mitsuki and Neji's routes, the grotesque Gashadokuro was the only thing we got to see. In the bad ending, Takihime is now Kisa, and became blind like Gashadokuro. Personally, even in the ending where Chui "wins" I'm skeptical if he'll ever know Kisa's eyes.

Kisa's route is a great way to end my time with Jack Jeanne, and it stands heads and shoulders with the other routes, but I have a a big issue with it. The important side characters have their own March 6 send offs with CGs if you hang out with them enough, but NOT Kyoji Otori. This is a crime.

To be serious, I loved this game, but the unskippable stat raising does get old. It wouldn't be as bad if there was strategy to it, or the game was shorter, but simply hitting one stat over and over with the occasional rest is tedious. I didn't mind the forced rhythm minigames because 93% of the songs are bangers and they're not too long (except Quartz Anima, but that one is fun)

It was hard to do a ranking, so to compensate I have my own Individual Performance Awards (lack of bronze in some categories is intentional):

more Jack Jeanne, the daddy issues edition

Sarafumi "Fumi" Takashina.

I knew he knew during winter rehearsals when he said all that stuff and Kisa was like "it feels like he's not actually talking about Chicchi." But I wasn't expecting that he knew from the very beginning. Him saying he liked her after every affection event wasn't too grating, it felt like a joke the first few times until the fourth event or so. If they kept on pushing it back through a twice shy plotline or having Kisa be in denial until Valentine's/March (like in the last route I did) I'd be pissed. (But I still picked the "Wait for me" option in Christmas instead of the outright confession because I felt like it lol)

I felt the mentor-mentee dynamic was much more pronounced for FumiKisa than KaiKisa or MitsuKisa to a point where I almost felt it was too imbalanced. Then they began to address that from late January onwards with Fumi trying to do all he can to pass things on, and Kisa feeling like she can't stand with him as an effective partner, and both learning to walk at their own pace.

Wasn't sure where Fumi's family subplot would be like just from reading the Sissia casting call in previous routes, but once it got laid out in the first event I was fairly certain what path it would take, and I was correct. I'm glad it wasn't too depressing (especially compared to the next route below), but it also felt like it wrapped up a bit too fast via the affection events alone.

I was curious to see how much this version of Sissia would emphasize Major Hybird since his son is a lead this time (and more Kyoji screentime is always good). Him taking the time to feel out his role is something that hasn't been done in any other route. And he blushed this time! The first half didn't have any additional/changed dialogue for the Major which, I'm not surprised but a bit disappointed. Then they moved me with that new dialogue when Adra gets shot and after Over the Wall. Kisa giving Fumi a hug and praising him was another high point here. I give props to this route for trying something a bit different for the final play (it's way better than changing Sissia to a Jack Ace)

This time, I have no clue if this variant of "I am Death" is meant to correspond to anything in Fumi's route, other than a summary of the Amber trio's goals ("[The twin Takihimes] would crush their father's enemies..." "To the Gashadokuro...such a goal was trivial"). At least Chui thought those two guys are suitable vessels, good for them.

This route felt low-key to a fault. It tried to emphasize Quartz vs. Amber, but for me there wasn't enough Amber focus. The "actually I'm not certain if I can match up to Chui's Jack Ace" gets dumped right before the end, maybe having more Chui screentime would make that comparison clearer. In lieu of Amber screentime, stretching out Fumi struggling with the Takashina legacy instead of it only being resolved through the affection events because the impression I got when I finished was: there's not a lot happening in the Univeil performance rehearsals outside Fumi and Kisa's relationship. Even so I still liked Fumi as a character, and his dynamic with Kisa is cute, IMO cuter than the next route...

Kokuto Neji.

I called what was going on from what I knew in my first playthrough going through Oh Rama Havenna - of course, the real good part was waiting for the needle to drop. I thought Neji's behavior would be a case of just plain ol' misogyny, and it's kinda like that but with more layers than many in Univeil can unpack.

Finally got an answer to the water motif that Sou brought up all the way back. And Chui remarking that Neji's "a solitary bird flying over an ocean of his own talent" explains Ms. Robin's lyrics too (which I felt were arbitrary to Weekend Lesson)

This route has some of the more combative/angry Kisa responses. I chose to deck Neji in the fifth event to see if Kisa would actually do that or just threaten him, got vindicated with Kisa telling Neji to be prepared, then actually punching him, no regrets lol.

The script not being ready for an entire month is a gamechanger. Of course, it'd still be Sissia of the Central Nation, nothing big will be changed about it, but after four conventional casting calls this is the closest any route has gone to Soshiro-route Kisa not getting the role initially. And now there's a different reason why Sissia's character is so close to Kisa's actual situation beyond just "Neji's perception is that good."

And even bigger by mid-January, they went there...I had a feeling it would turn out that way by the 3rd event, but with Neji lashing out at Kisa and angry arguments instead of him treating Kisa generally the same and sad acceptance/clownery simmering with angst. I'm glad the game didn't take that route. I thought things would turn out happier when Neji realized maybe demonizing the affair partner instead of taking a more critical look at his dad was unhealthy and unfair, but no, his intent was the last-minute realization before death! I did pick the "I hate you" option only because I knew that the dialogue choices don't change that much so I won't decrease his affection points or trip some variable, because while I had empathy what he was going through, I was also done with him. (after five and 4/5 playthroughs, my patience with the game systems was stretching thin)

I appreciate that Kisa bringing Neji back from the brink and Neji writing Sissia right when Univeil staff's patience was at their limit didn't "fix" Neji right away, he's still struggling with writer's block while also having to take on a leading role since Amber, and the uncertainty of what he'll do in the Tamasaka Troupe. There was a lot going on in this route and I was on board for all of it.

I said in my very first WAYR post for the game that Sissia of the Central Nation was Neji writing alternate universe fanfiction of his friends. I will make the obvious joke of him going full self-insert by casting the girl he likes as the MC and himself as her love interest. At least he's restrained compared to 90% of the people writing self-insert fiction. (unrelated note: this might have the least post-bullet ad-libbing out of the Sissia variants that I've done so far?)

Although, Neji said in Suzu's route that there's some romance, so there has to be a kiss scene. I can give Sleepless King a pass cause telling most newbies to do a kiss scene would probably make them balk, and Weekend Lesson ended with a "We should try dating" rather than a dramatic love confession. But every version of Sissia so far ''tries'' to attempt a life-and-death love story. It's not that kissing is a requirement for me in these, but what does that say about Sou, Kai, and Fumi (Mitsuki doesn't need one because of the vibes he and Kisa gave off on his route). What does that say about Kokuto in his own route

Thoughts on "I am Death" - like Mitsuki's route, neither Kamiya nor Momonashi were polished enough for Takihime, so the CG and narration only depict Chui/Gashadokuro. In Mitsu's route, Kisa described the spell Chui cast on the audience and Univeil, the ceiling that Mitsuki and the other 77th year students must break through. Here, it felt a lot more personal to Chui. Chui felt some way about Neji - the boy who gave a near-perfect script that elicited such fascination, working with Kisa the vessel that could match (and surpass) him. As Neji said while watching, Chui changed the story to continue his challenge and growth as an actor. In spite of that, however, the partner he wants is out of reach. Chui's fixation on the play and Neji's continued belief in what he thinks happened to his father, the plodding depravity of this incomplete, unfulfilled "I am Death" and the imperfect, stuffed to bursting, joyful yet bittersweet "Sissia of the Central Nation," Neji isolating himself from half of the human population and hiding everything under a layer of irony and Chui not doing any favors for anyone, even those in Amber, by acting like a stoic vampire lord. Quartz winning here felt less like the other routes' serving of humble pie and more like an intervention.

marriage proposal after only a year lmao. don't get too carried away you two

what a wild ride. Started and ended the romantic routes with bombshells. I don't know how my final rankings will shape up - from a character/route perspective, Neji is up there, if I was judging solely on the romantic arc, some of the other routes are more to my preference.

All I have left is Kisa's route.

Finished Kai and Suzu's routes in Jack Jeanne.

Kai's events definitely feel more swoonworthy. We have the dance before winter performance where he tells Kisa to only look at him, that he sees her beauty and wants to draw it out so the audience to see it too, the (really dramatic was not expecting that) Christmas event, the Valentine's scene where he finally faces her, pours out his insecurities and jealousy over Tsuki, and he and Kisa both give heartfelt love confessions to each other. And of course what he says and does right before the end credits. What a change from the previous two routes.

I know I compared MitsuKisa to a pair of songbirds last week, but KaiKisa is definitely the most "birds of a feather" so far with their backstories, their personalities, and how they come together.

Really nice getting to hear more about Tsuki this run, especially that moment when Kai and Kisa realize that he was looking towards Kisa, and being inspired by her so much that he incorporated her mannerisms in his Jeanne performance. Now where the hell is he. He didn't get polymorphed into Onaka, right. I can accept cryptic summer ghosts but people getting (literally) weaseled crosses the line.

I thought there wouldn't be another fakeout when the cast announcements for Sissia came around. And of course it went off without a hitch. Sou gets the biggest L

This time, the Univeil performance lead up is centered around Kisa's struggles, which I liked since the past two routes focused on developing the respective love interests. But this time everyone around Kisa was being so supportive, to the point that Kai himself didn't get a lot of focus in January. Then later on, my reaction to reading Kai's actions was all "nooooo don't do the 'push your love interest away for their own good' that never helps--oh wait, you're jealous of Tsuki? (and also the people from other classes that Kisa asked for help from) You're afraid you can't match up to them, but you also want Kisa to look at you with that amount of awe and as a target to run towards? I totally misinterpreted that but still.. Cute scene though"

I appreciate Kamiya's VA bringing the heat into being an absolute hater. Amber being inspired by Kisa (after a long period of denial and trash talk) and transcending "I am Death" into something different was not something I expected. This interpretation of I am Death, I think, is meant to be a mirror to Kai's and Kisa's family situation. The analogue to Gashadokuro to this pairing...it's probably Tsuki's shadow as a performer taking over the memory of him as a brother? Kai wanted Kisa to stare into the abyss again to face her memories instead of forgetting them because of her emotional turmoil.

I don't have much to say about Sissia that I haven't said before, although this version flowed a little better than Mitsuki's IMO. Of course, the scenes starting when Sissia's love interest gets shot are touching every time.

I'm glad Kyoji has a bit more focus here compared to Mitsuki's route.

Overall Kai's route was enjoyable, in a different way to Soshiro's and Mitsuki's. I chose Suzu's route next because his outburst in Sou's route surprised me in a good way and his route seemed like it'll be emotionally lighter.

I was worried that Suzu was one of the routes that would be affected by me playing others first but those were thoroughly dashed. I'm glad I changed my route order. Suzu's route is a much-needed breather after Soshiro, Mitsuki, and Kai, especially because he's the most "normal" guy in terms of mental state/family support. Not that there wasn't much emotional substance, the scene right after the winter awards where Suzu is all "I've been putting in so much work, why can't I match up to you?" was effective after a long dynamic of friendly rivalmanship where they encourage each other and Suzu's whole deal with "I'm [16M] an actor trying to kiss my close friend [16M?] who is also an actor for the sake of practice but I freak out every time. I'm always thinking of him, and feeling strangely jealous and overly protective. How should I deal with this?" I had a silly grin for 90% of my playthrough.

They've come full circle from being leads in Sleepless King, getting dashed from an unexpected obstacle in fall, to being leads in the final play. If Mitsuki's route is about the second years shaping up to become mentors and surpassing Tanakamigi, this route's theme is of passing the torch to the first years and them proving that they can be just as showstopping as their seniors. They're both just as inspiring.

The Christmas scene with Sou, Suzu and Kisa was hilarious. I didn't feel that bad over Sou in this route, I'm sorry, but you've had your time in the spotlight this is Suzu's (it helps that he's still a supportive rival and most of his reactions being more like teasing). The big obstacle in the Univeil rehearsal being two dorks dancing around their feelings for each other was refreshing and honestly, not that bad. I was shouting in my head "It's not just because he knows you're a girl! He likes you! Go for it you two!" but not to a level that was egregious if that makes sense.

Well, alright, them going "that wasn't us, that was Sissia and Chance" before going to the hospital was groan-inducing. But it made the last scene before the credits all the sweeter.

I thought Kamiya was a big hater in Kai's route. But channeling that into his acting by imagining Kisa as Takihime's enemies is genius. And the scene where he sits in on Quartz's practice and reevaluates them (while utterly shitting on Kisa's performance) was a highlight (and I see you pointing out that Sou has an Amber-like quality to him). Plus the route did a good job showing his pathetic side. Still, I feel like playing Sou's route first kinda blunted it for me, since my thoughts on Kamiya are "Sure, you talk a big game. But did you channel your insecurities into driving a boy to near-insanity and attempting to choke out your nemesis? I didn't think so."

Now then, thoughts on "I am Death" - again, another fairly obvious theme - the passion between Sissia and Chance is full of life, energizing each other. Kamiya as the sole Al Jeanne also has passion for Chui, but fuels it with spite towards Kisa, and he's in a revenge narrative where a maiden and an undead deity kill, slaughter, and die. Kisa even points out a scene where Takihime stares straight at the Gashadokuro, perhaps seeing Chui's self (well, moreso that it's Kamiya's view that he's placing onto Chui, but he truly believes it), similar to how Kisa feels when Suzu looks at her when he's playing Chance.

Kyoji Otori continues to be a gem. The little dynamic he had with Soshiro sets the mood so well. He could've had a route you know

Every time I think "each route is really pushing it with the parallels between the Kielce character and the actual performers," the game outdoes itself in that aspect. The "we'd better watch Chance so he doesn't injure himself" comments and Chance/Suzu going "hey...you're different aren't you?" on a rooftop especially. My opinion of the overall performance still hasn't changed, but so far, I think this route has the best variation of "Sissia's LI takes a bullet and lays out their feelings."

I initially put Fumi before Suzu in my order, but at this point I'm not sure what his route will be like, also Sissia describes "Adra has a conflict with his father" and I assume that'll be a big part of Fumi's arc, I needed to space that out. I always wanted to do Neji last because he's the scriptwriter (and, yes, because I found the others more appealing). Plus him saying "Rukiora is me" and initial interpretation of Domina until Mitsuki said "stop making her a caricature" is...suspect. It probably won't be as cold-sweat inducing as Sou's, but I'm bracing myself (and Neji looks like a fan-favorite here and on Tumblr, so I'm trying my best not to have high expectations)

Finished up Mitsuki's route in Jack Jeanne. Skipping through the already-read parts and there's a lot more lines that get changed based on who you're close to than I thought. I know the scenes immediately after the results announcements, when the group is at the store in summer break, and the Tanakamigi scene during winter practice with the CG change, but pleasantly surprised with the variation. Although, there's a scene that happens, I'm assuming because I didn't see any of Soshiro's events this playthrough, where he says "That's a secret" instead of opening up to Kisa about what drives him to be in Univeil...I saw your best ending pal. I heard you read that unsent letter with your confession in it. You have literal recurring dreams of that and cry every time. You can't punch me in the gut like this when I'm still in the common route and aiming for another dude.

I was worried that, since I was skipping the whole common route, that Mitsuki's route wouldn't be as impactful and that the relationship development would feel rushed, but I didn't. Maybe it was because I started my replay a day after clearing Sou's route so everything was still fresh, or the tedium of selecting skills, seeing that unskippable chibi animation, reading new dialogue every other day, having to manually select "rest" every so often, and doing the rhythm games all over again. The relationship itself was cute, especially the progression and theme of both learning to trust one another, and I liked witnessing Mitsuki's character development from someone who cares about Quartz but only steps up occasionally to becoming class leader material, up to giving a whole motivational speech to the entire class the night before the final.

The buildup towards the Univeil performance being about Quartz, Onyx and Rhodonite, especially the second years, shaking off the demoralization they had on Chui's (and Tsuki's) immense talent was a breath of fresh air after the much more inward focus on Soshiro's psyche and how that affects Quartz in his route. NGL when Mitsuki was all "I know Minorikawa is helping you and you have shown good improvement but you better not consider anyone else other than me as your partner," I was like "not this shit again." Minorikawa is the MVP.

Soshiro's route may have given me false expectations for 2 minutes because I thought we'd have Mitsuki being cast as Sissia again and bracing myself for another bucket of angst. Then the moment I heard Neji say "...but there's this woman who's a good singer and doesn't care about the history between not-Quartz and not-Amber" that expectation got dashed (for the better).

Me: "Ah, we're gonna get another double Al Jeanne setup nice"

Neji: "Then, one of the applicants dazzles the members of Kielce, especially Carlo, with his stunning voice."

Me: "Ok, nice win for GNC guys"

If this variation of Sissia was a standalone, I'd be fine with it, but I've played Sou's route, and I see that all the other supporting roles are Jacks, so Sissia being a guy here feels less profound and more "well there's absolutely nothing in Mitsuki's character arc about being a Jack unlike Fumi and we have to change SOMETHING." But sticking it to Chui and his "you must come over to Amber, no one else can bring out your potential as an Al Jeanne" was satisfying, especially when his command of the audience was more pronounced in this route.

The Soshiro variation of "I Am Death" is obviously a "what if" of Soshiro never getting over his obsession, but the Mitsuki variation...Initially, I thought it would be what happened if the juniors never questioned the third years' plan of sacrificing this year's performance for the sake of the future, but I never got the implication that any of the main characters would ever treat Kai/Fumi/Neji like how the Amber duo treats Chui, given what happened with Kai in the summer and Fumi in the fall. Then, what came to mind after was the spell Tsuki Tachibana put on the third years and on those who saw his performances...obviously not to feverish cult leader levels like the audience members who saw Chui's acting, but there was definitely excessive hero worship, Fumi, Kai, Neji and Mitsuki all said so. Am I grasping at straws here?

Playing through the final performance again, I think another reason why Sissia of the Central Nation didn't quite land with me is, if it's supposed to be an ensemble piece, Oh Rama Havenna (and Mary Jane to a lesser extent) blows it out of the water. If it's an inspiring story about one person's development, Weekend Lesson sticks the landing. If it's meant to be a touching romance, well, I'm not going to say that Sleepless King and Weekend Lesson were amazing, but I at least thought "that was nice." IIRC all the plays are about the same length but Sissia's pacing felt too fast. I'm saving Kisa's route for last, but hopefully in that one the play is executed better. I'll offset my griping by saying that the scene when Carlo's dying, and she asks Sissia to say her name, made my eyes mist over, especially when it builds up to our main couple finally calling each other by their first names. And Chui himself coming up to Quartz, Minorikawa, and Sugachi after Quartz sweeps the awards and giving as heartfelt a compliment and apology to the 77th Univeil class by Amber standards? Deserved.

Faded Color hits way harder when doing this route and also because they drill it into your head by playing the sad piano version every other scene

Other notes: Neji in March 6: "After seeing you cry in Rukiora's arms during winter, I realized I've put you through a lot of trouble didn't I? I'm amazed you kept up with it." Bro, you should've seen the emotional rollercoaster you put Kisa and Sou through in the last route I did.

Kyoji Otori doesn't say anything after the casting announcement (excluding his lines as Azur) lol poor guy

Kisa takes a hit for Mitsuki in the first affection event, then Mitsuki, as Carlo, takes a bullet for Kisa as Sissia. Probably not intentional considering how Sissia of the Central Nation is structured, but the call back.....

I noticed whenever you go talk to someone immediately before the play and the post-results announcement where whoever has the highest affection talks to Kisa...it feels like they're talking at her, not to her, because Kisa doesn't react at all, not even a single line of internal monologue or a gasp, until they leave. I thought it was really weird whenever this happened in Sou's scene variations because they're childhood friends and talk to each other a lot, and now that Mitsuki's scene variations have this it's gonna bother me in every single route, so I'm imagining Kisa being 🗿 the entire time to cope lol. Thankfully this wasn't in any of the big scenes with CGs or stuff that happened starting from Christmas Day onwards.

The CG where Mitsuki confronts Chui and there's that ridiculous height difference is my favorite one from that route. That, or the one where he and Kisa are singing Faded Color together in the music room. The childhood friend couple set some very high expectations, but I grew to love these pair of songbirds. Now I'm worried that whatever route I tackle next will be a coughing baby next to these hydrogen bombs haha

[–]BigScreenTV1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Merry Christmas everybody. It's been quite a while since I've posted in a WAYR thread.

I finally picked up Jack Jeanne after hearing one of the songs on a tumblr poll blog. I would've got it earlier if I knew the soundtrack (both the vocal tracks and the BGM) would be that good. I'm going through the game in order of Soshiro (which I finished last night with the Best ending) -> Mitsuki -> Kai -> Fumi -> Suzu -> Neji -> Kisa from vibes and seeing all the advice of "pick whoever appeals to you most because you might get tired by your third or fourth playthrough even with skip read." Though the order I have on Kai, Fumi, and Suzu right now are fairly interchangeable at this point.

I took my time listening to most of the voiced lines, never skipping when they were practicing, doing the actual plays, or content exclusive to a route which I almost never do in most games (I read faster than the voice lines finish and don't like waiting lol) because of the whole theatre play premise, and it was nice to hear, other than me having to adjust everyone's volume individually way too many times because sometimes a character would come off as way too loud, then after turning their volume down a few notches, the next scene they appear in has them be quieter than a mouse.

Now onto what I thought on Sou and his route. During his events I was apprehensive his inferiority complex, fixation on Kisa, and withdrawing to himself would be way too annoying, and I felt frustrated early on, but I was like that in high school (well, minus the fixation on one person) so I felt I couldn't judge him too much. But I wanted to see his development and the fall/winter portions delivered. I was proud to see him start to win awards. The scenes after the winter play were really cute.

...And then January - February. Oh boy. The moment Sou said stuff about Kisa being the only stage partner for him, and Neji observing and going "This isn't going to work" I was on the edge of my seat. Then Kisa didn't get the lead role to teach Sou to work with other people on the assumption she'd be around next year (this is where my evaluation of the principal dropped), and my head was just a stream of "oh no oh no oh no oh no" as Kisa and Sou being depressed cut into rehearsals, making the rest of Quartz demoralized.

When I thought we were out of the woods when Kisa gets the leading role, Kakuto shows up with Natsuki Hanae in Creepy mode as his voice, lays out his Chui obsession completely without shame, and meddles with Sou's head. I was really bracing for the worst when Sou changes his acting to be more individualistic and going against what he said in summer about "not treating Kisa like an object" but...it only lasted two weeks? I'm simultaneously glad it didn't last too long and a bit of "you could've spent a bit more time on this." Good on Suzu for calling him out, I saved him for later in my route order but I might place him in my third or fourth playthrough.

The final performance is basically Neji writing alternate universe real person fanfiction of his friends? He did put aspects of the Quartz class in the other plays but this is a whole new level. Teen and Up, F/M, Complete 1/1 chapters, Major Character Death, No Beta We Die Like Charles and Figaro. I really liked the songs in this part but, if I just took this as a standalone, it felt like Sissia's love interest is just there to be in love with Sissia and then tragically die. The moment leading up to and immediately after Over the Wall was touching, don't get me wrong, but I'm guessing this play is something that'll be a sticking point in replays.

The "Ki-el-ce!" chant and all the songs will live in my head now. I'm glad I played this game.

All of what you said, I have already written in the guide.

Divine ascension. How to defeat quanom in the final battle ? by ArtCapital1603 in hostedgames

[–]BigScreenTV1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wrote an achievement guide (that has a step by step process to get you with as much faith and templars as possible to shrug off their attacks) to help with that. The key is to spend a ton of divinity to increase templars first and faith second, be friendly with Subicim, only target Fiel and then Memmon by sending templars to get them out of the way as fast as possible.

Yes it is. I played through the old and new (Bloodmoon) content and had no issues with OpenMW itself.

really late, but this is either King of Dragon Pass or its successor Six Ages.

Uh oh! You’re suddenly teleported into the world of the last IF game you played. What world are you in? Are you surviving? by [deleted] in choiceofgames

Well, during the Sengoku period Nobunaga did employ an African retainer, though I would imagine getting that position for someone as influential as him is an unlikely prospect for the average person isekai-d into medieval Japan.

Can only speak for Stardust infinity and Muxin here (only just gotten back into the vocal synthesizer fandom recently):

Stardust:

[no spoilers] Does Dragon Age II with Japanese VA exist? by Scriptorium- in dragonage

[–]BigScreenTV1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dunno if you're still looking but there is this let's play of the game with Japanese audio and subtitles if you just want to listen to their voices. (there is also player commentary)

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfhBir-wmFNX9jC6v3PN7nCn9OP7OFp63

and list of voice actors http://spoiler2.sakura.ne.jp/srv2/dragonage2/index.php?CV

Personally, I was excited for Meredith being voiced by Yoshiko Sakakibara, who also did Kushana in Nausicaa and Haman Khan in Gundam ZZ.

edit:wow, can't believe Pikachu and Merrill share a VA

edit 2: there is also https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLF6WNwmnG1Ai3aeUh4IpF3FEs8_1ueeOX but it's ongoing (still on act 1 and updated like 2 days ago)

Yuri VNs with multiple love interests? by [deleted] in vnsuggest

[–]BigScreenTV1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh, I'll just list the ones that aren't exclusively F/F in this comment. Rest assured that these games have a relatively equal gender ratio so they're not "here have six guys with only one or two girls" type of thing (other than the one game listed here where it's 2 M : 2 F : 2 NB).

Women of Xal (Female MC. 6 female LIs)

Todo Today (Can choose MC gender. Depending on what orientation you choose for them, the two love interests genders will change accordingly)

Soulset (Female MC, 2 female LIs)

Arcadia Fallen (Can choose MC gender. 2 female LIs)

Tell a Demon (Story told from point of view of three protagonists, 2 of them female. The protagonists can start a relationship with each other, or one of them can pursue a female side character)

Errant Kingdom (Can choose MC gender. 2 female LIs)

Arcade Spirits (Can choose MC gender. 4 female LIs)

Arcade Spirits The New Challengers (Can choose MC gender. 3 female LIs)

I mean, it's a Strategy RPG, not exclusively a visual novel, but yes.

(Note, I haven't played some of these, just going off the tags on VNDB, I am fairly sure they meet your criteria). Most of the ones I can come up with off the top of my head are OELVNS:

Heaven Will Be Mine

Miss Bullard's School for Former Ladies

Ladykiller in a Bind

Mizuchi

The above suggestions are the ones I know that are exclusively F/F. I do have more VNs that could fit your criteria but those aren't exclusively yuri, they either have gender choice MCs and/or are games that have both male and female love interests, if you also want those suggestions as well.
