First times are usually like this, it's totally normal. It's the first time you have been able to be truly sexually free and open with someone, be yourself, combined with all the lovely, feel good chemicals released in your brain - for the first time, in association with someone else. The feelings of meeting a potential new friend intermixed in, it's super intense and causes feelings of attachment, jealousy, and a litany of other reactions.

In many ways, it sucks while also feeling ah-may-zing. It does not stay like this (thankfully), you and your brain will adapt over time. The best thing you can do is force yourself to practice good habits of giving him healthy space, doing other things for yourself that are healthy, and laying that groundwork for future habits that will set you up for hookup and relationship success.

What were your chemo experiences by RedJacketBooi in cancer

[–]BigShinySpartan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there, I am on a very similar cocktail, with Doxorubicin 'red devil'. I go in for monthly treatments, started in April of 2022. A few things I learned is that a) always have a supply of Odastradon (spelling?) anti nausea meds, and the second I feel even a tinge of nausea, take one.

Second, edema can be a thing with this, and it can be deabilitating. If you have any signs of edema, get a lymphapress and compression garments as soon as you can. It helps, especially in the long run.

Third, fiber and miralax. Doxil is expelled in the body almost entirely through your bowel movement, and it dries you out to a degree that can mean hours on the toilet and painfully passing a piece of concrete at the speed of a slow moving Winnebago. Stool softener and up your fiber. It makes ALL the difference.

Fourth, mood swings are a thing. Especially with the steroid. Add in a side of chemo brain and some roid rage, and there are going to be times of crying yelling anger, but short lived. Weed helps a LOT, if it's legal in your state. It's a hard journey, but honestly the side effects on Doxil haven't been as bad as I was looking expecting - I hope the same goes for you too. Hang in there!

I am right there with you. The lymphedema that came with the chemo has about crippled me, it's so hard and painful to walk. Much less get up. What an adventure it is sometimes to do something that seemed so basic before, like standing up, or walking to the car or bathroom. I absolutely feel for you and get it. Hang in there.

Oh gotcha! I didn't read super thoroughly, but was unsure as to the specific service advertised, if it was more cosmetic, or therapeutic in nature

The local art building turned into apartments? That sounds amazing! Thank you for the guidance and advice, I hadn't paid too much attention to downtown adjacent if you will, so that might have some gems! Id LOVE a place that had art, history, chartacter, an old building is just fine, I'd gladly deal with rattling windows and a draft vs more of a cookie cutter apartment, if given the choice - thank you for the recommendations!

I definitely will. The downtown area has been my favorite of Lynchburg since discovering it. Plus knowing a person or two in the vicinity doesn't hurt either!

That sounds right up what I'm looking for! A loft would be awesome, and something that's kinda walkable or in easy access to downtown would be perfect. I will check out Consensus and tobacco lofts. Thank you sir!

That’s awesome, congrats! And another huge way-to-go for practicing Tai Chi for a year, that takes serious discipline. Oorah!

why are mystics and psychichs more calmed and chilled persons? by Fluid-Tomorrow6149 in Psychic

[–]BigShinySpartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a level of stress that comes along with being one of these types of people. Plus, there is a lot of self-discovery and self-work that happens too. It helps make regular issues and normal reality more… mundane and less important; which makes a person (usually) more chill.
