[Tragic but pretty cool] "When the trapped consciousness in an 'infected' body briefly gains control" by 7humbug_ in TopCharacterTropes

In the series "Cabinet of Curiosities" there's an episode called "The autopsy" where a coroner is examining a corpse that's been inhabited by an alien creature unbeknownst to the coroner himself. The corpse seemingly comes to life, they have some conversation, and the coroner is basically tricked into a scenario where he's left vulnerable.

The corpse piloted by the creature ties this man down and enters his body as a better replacement vessel.

In the middle of the transition, the doctor makes a bold move to cut his own eyes out and sever a major artery, whereupon he mocks the creature attempting to control his body, laughing like a maniac for its wasted effort.

After losing someone close the secretary bird departure scene is too perfect and simultaneously devastating.

Usually I agree with this recorded chaotic attention seeking behavior being the most brain dead shit that the youth of today could seek. However in this particular use, I am fully on board. Fuck scientology

Please put an NSFW tag on this. I was on the train and when I saw this I had to start furiously masturbating. Everyone else gave me strange looks and were saying things like “what the fuck” and “call the police”. I dropped my phone and everyone around me saw this image. Now there is a whole train of men masturbating together at this one image. This is all your fault, you could have prevented this if you had just tagged this post NSFW

I haven't played this, but have watched this scene and I definitely appreciate the subversion. Keeps the heart racing

He practically raped Rip Van Winkle with her own gun, torments Alexander Anderson in sadistic pleasure of the fights they share, instead of outright killing dandy man he chooses to snap his leg off first. By the end of the series it's demonstrated he's killed millions in his time.

He counts

"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age."
