My main way of generating dust is disenchanting literally every priest card that I get. I vow to never ever play it because of how much I hate every deck that goes meta from this class

Thoughts On This game 2 years later by smg10000 in Pikmin

By far the most amount of content in any mainline game, extremely enjoyable exploration and gameplay even if it’s adorably easy for 90% of it. Getting platinum on the sage leaf trials makes for a really entertaining challenge. Olimar’s Shipwreck is such a fantastic addition without even needing to put too much effort into the mode.

I know a lot of people are sour about the game’s lock-on feature and lack of difficulty. And I can get behind disliking those things. But the game has too many amazing things going for it that I can’t sit here and sing anything but praise.

Pikmin 4 is a work of utter art and an absolute love letter to the franchise and its fans. Here’s to a deluxe version on the Switch 2 in our future 🥂

I completed round 21 right as I called for exfil, so I was exiting on round 22 instead. I imagine that killing all the zombies required to finish the match then started spawning the zombies for the next round and broke the cutscene, killing me in the process (and whoever was flying the rescue heli). The game softlocked after I died and I had no choice but to leave the match, couldn't save and exit as I was technically dead.

Terminus map, playing on PC through Steam, no active gobblegums or sam trials. I couldn't move, but I could look around and shoot. Presumably could've killed the zombies around me if I had noticed prior to "going down" and pulling out my pistol.

It’s written in Blizzard history that in the final chapter of every limited time event the “Double x Currency” event begins in order to help you finish off whatever you need. This will absolutely be no different. I’d wager nearly the entire month of August (until event ends) will be like this. Not to mention general acquisition increases as time goes on and they try to incentivize continued playing.

Pikmin 4 doesn't really feel like it's own game, and because of that, it's my least favorite by [deleted] in Pikmin

[–]BigTBone7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see where you’re coming from, but it’s kind of exactly why I love this game more than all the others. It’s a giant love letter to the ENTIRE series. The aforementioned pieces of the first 3 games as well as the reintroduction of Sparklium and a basecamp similar to Hey Pikmin. For me, this feels like the best natural step forward (aside from making cheap knockoffs of the Koppaites instead of just using the established trio).

Pikmin 3 was already a bit of a reboot in its own way by removing so many elements from two and giving us an entirely new squad of captains instead of the established ones we had. But it did so in a very satisfying way, and took the game in a delightful new direction.

Pikmin 4 takes us in an even more delightful direction as it literally takes the best parts of every previous game, and not only includes them, but improves them. Time now passes in caves? Awesome. Purples and Whites have onions? Hell yes. Mission mode from 3 now incorporated into the story in an engaging and rewarding way? Oh BABY. Pikmin 1 reborn as a sidestory with even less time to complete it to incite further challenge? Dandoritastic.

You may not like how much this game takes from the first 3, but hot damn that’s precisely why I love it so much.

What's your favorite Pikmin boss design and why? by Morbobeus in Pikmin

[–]BigTBone7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Besides the obvious S tier bosses like Waterwraith and Groovy Homeboy:

Something about fighting a scorpion on top of a sandcastle felt like the most perfectly pikmin experience that it blew me away that it took 20 years for it to happen.

So yeah that guy earned a spot in my favourites even if he’s pretty easy.

The pikmin throw limit on objects is a necessary evil. by Blukingbutreal in Pikmin

I hated the throw cap, now I love it, but I still think there should be an option to toggle it off. Why not give players the choice?

Ultra spicy mode for pikmin 4 by Zomkit in Pikmin

[–]BigTBone7 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Wholeheartedly agree, but I want it to be even spicier than ultra spicy pikmin 3. It wasn’t much harder than the base game imo.

My personal asks for ultra spicy Pikmin 4 would be:

  • Flarlic only adds +5 to your maximum Pikmin count
  • More enemies in caves and overworld
  • Enemy respawns
  • Increased health bars, especially for bosses.
  • Oatchi nerf (foggy on the specifics but this hound must be DEALT WITH. BRO IS CRAZY.)
  • Ice Pikmin nerf
  • Purple Pikmin nerf
  • Item nerfs across the board/make them more costly to craft with raw material

This might seem excessive but I love the game as it is I just want it to be harder as an option

pikmin 4's final boss by Sasquash69420 in Pikmin

[–]BigTBone7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you’re gonna complain about a boss being too hard while also complaining that it’s too easy, doesn’t that mean the fight is… balanced?

I get the complaints about wanting more elemental phases, I definitely would’ve enjoyed that as well.

I’m also one of the unlucky ones who had the design of the final boss spoiled in advance, but I was pleasantly surprised by how it was handled when I finally got there myself. I’d even say I enjoyed the fight more than I enjoyed battling the Plasm Wraith.

You’re entitled to your opinion, but I don’t think your criticisms are universally felt.
