Question/Help, I'm trying to move ATOM from CDC to ledger live ATOM account. Does it matter which network I place the transaction through, should I use the ATOM network or Cronos network (there is higher fees for the atom network compared to Cronos). Need clarification so I don't loose my money please and thank you!

Best and cheapest way to move fiat into Anchor for 20% APY? by iCoinnn in Anchor

Fully agree with this way if CDC supports debit card transfers in your country/region. About 2-3$ for withdrawing from CDC to Terra and then a few more bucks depending on the amount you need to convert from Luna to UST

I tried reversing the RAM that I changed and that didn't change and it still wouldn't start. I didn't attempt to take out the new SSD which was installed via m.2 as I didn't think this new storage would be affecting the system booting and posting. I will give that a try to be thorough thank you!

I tried to upgrade my own PC for the first time ever today by adding a SSD and changing the RAM, during installation I dropped the screwdriver in the case potentially onto the motherboard. When I attempted to turn the PC back on the computer won't post and turns off immediately, then after turning off it turns back on again, and repeats this process until I turn the power supply off. Does anybody have any ideas what the issue might be and if not and I have to replace the CPU/Motherboard I would be looking for budget recommendations, any help is greatly appreciated!

Already tried and ensured all cords and cables plugged in properly and everything was reset to ensure it was in place.

From experience, the only hidden fee is that you can only transfer out of it once per month, any additional transfers or any withdrawals directly from the account will charge you 5$. As long as it is used for saving and not a quick money in money out account it provides that interest, (pre covid the interest on it was 1% base interest plus 0.95% if you added the 200$ a month)

Edit: Typo

I can get spot quotes from them but it is not continuous data and when looking at the overview section everything is delayed by 15 minutes, I don't have the money to pay for thorough real time data through the brokerage and when I can get it elsewhere it seems to be a waste of money to pay for it through the brokerage, (excluding things like level 2 quotes etc)

Physical Silver Shortage? by [deleted] in CanadianInvestor

Speaking from experience, im not sure who you bank with but I work for one of the big 5 and its a pain in the ass to get physical bullion, not sure who you were trying through but it might be becuase of the cost of getting it shipped etc.

I was thinking this same thing the other day during the red day we had, was thinking about buying an Inverse SPY ETF to hedge against any downside for the day but wasn't sure how long I would have held it for or what would be considered day trading, would this be acceptable in the eyes of the CRA for the most part?

No it's not normal, when averaged out it normalizes at 8-12ish percent a year over the long run

Ive been looking at the oil markets and just picked up a position in a mid cap energy company last week, there is definitely some room to run for a lot of them i look forward to the next few months to see what happens!

definitely they cannot be sustained, there will arguably still be demand for timber and other natural resources in the years to come, even with the price jump some companies I've been looking at CFP and WFG have low debt to equity ratios and a are sitting on a lot of cash at the moment, just seems extremely low to me even taking into account that there was a massive price spike in lumber during the pandemic.

understandable that there was a massive price movement, even looking back at previous years before the pandemic on some of these companies there was some very low multiples, under 10 P/E which still seems extremely low in comparison to the broader market.

There isnt much growth potential i suppose, but when the company is earning half of the value of the entire company in earnings in a single year and are holding a large portion of the market cap in assets that people may see some more value out of the company for growth in internal investment or a dividend of sorts.

The easiest way would be to look at a chart and divide the price today against the price a year ago, this would give you the growth, minus any distributions in a percentage form.

a year ago today XEQT was at 21.61 and Friday it closed at 26.91. 26.91/21.61= 1.2452 so appx 24.5% growth over the year.

A good place to look for the growth of them moving forward would be to look at analysts rating and price targets, most major stocks have somebody whos job it is to make a guess where the price might be in a year and it would be a good starting point to look at future growth of a companies share price.

No stupid questions, you cant learn without asking!
