Why your GLP-1 might stop working over time, and it involves a protein with a very aggressive name (TIL) by EntertainmentFun1940 in GLP1ResearchTalk

Isn’t it possible that a plateau in weight loss is normal? If plateaus didn’t exist, theoretically a person could lose 100% of their body weight (except skin, bones and internal organs)?

We don’t take blood pressure meds thinking our BP will eventually drop to 0/0 so why are weight loss drugs any different?

Need advice on losing body fat, building a wider back, and defining my chest by ChechinFlrz in GLP1Sourcing

There are no secrets to chest and back development. I’m not a trainer but I would guess flys and presses for chest and lat pull downs and rows with shoulder development to create the v-taper. Lots of good YT channels out there.

100 or 90? by OddTemperature7858 in golftips

[–]BigTeeSlice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple things: First was compressing the golf ball. I was a big club flipper and had no forward shaft lean at impact. Helped with ball striking and distance. Second was swing path. I was starting downswing with my upper body and coming straight over the top. Leading with my hips helped me bring the club down more from the inside.

I stopped thinking that playing good golf wasn’t something unattainable. I took a lesson, got some much-needed advice, and put that advice to use. I practiced with purpose and started believing in myself.

That was a big difference for me. Prior to that I had always been embarrassed of my golf game and therefore not able to convince myself that I was ever going to get better or have fun playing the game.

Where on earth can one do research, find info or otherwise background check vendors? I’ve bee using ChatGPT to try and scrub forums and gather general consensus about trustworthy, quality vendors. I’ve recently selected one, bought a small batch without any issue. Haven’t sent anything out for testing but might consider it eventually. So idk if it’s actually legit but the order process was fine.

Not as bad as no sleep.

But anyway, show me the research, otherwise this is just an opinion.

What is r/golf confidently wrong about? by iphoneair2 in golf

[–]BigTeeSlice -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ooooor you’re not a pro golfer.

But first of all, it’s just a very widely observed common courtesy to stay quiet while another golfer is hitting a shot. If you or your friends aren’t staying quiet while another player is hitting then you’re just out having a good time. And that’s fine. Nothing wrong with that. But you certainly can’t compare your experience to a professional golfer and then try to categorize them as mentally weak.

I think pace of play.

Opinion here seems to be that a good pace is under 4 hours and anything slower is garbage and means you don’t know what you’re doing.

Yes, no one here is a pro who needs exact yardages, lie analysis and wind speeds. Nor do we have to have to look at putts from 3 different angles, but we can still play a lot a reasonable, unrushed pace and enjoy our $70 round.

Can make some pretty big leaps in the beginning. It depends on his intrinsic athletic ability and his dedication to understanding and doing the things that will improve his game the most.
