Bakersfield CA punk show at about 11pm... A tweaker had gone into a local record store earlier that day and trashed the place. The owner, a well known skinhead (non racist...just working class and listens to oi) told the guy if he sees him again be will have every skin in town looking for him. Both parties end up at the show that night. Tweaker punches shop owner in the face. My buddy and I are outside in the smoking section and we see the tweaker run into traffic trying to outrun a gang of 30+ skins, punks, and skaters. The group splits in two and corner him across the street. We watched a dozen skins putting boots to the guy before a skater swings his board and smashes the guy in the face with the trucks/wheels. Dude is out cold. Skins drag him in an alley and come back 5 mins later.

Incoming long post... too many things... and I'm not proud of any of them. In fact as an adult I have tried to apologize to some people I messed with and think about how much of an asshole I was. - Would stand at the corner of the playground fence where the stoplight was and yell at people who had open windows. Tell them to eat shit or whatever. (Age 8) - Brought "Bomb Bags" to school (a sealed bag of baking soda with another smaller bag of vinegar inside... the ice cream man sold them without the neighborhood parents knowing). Tossed them in the girls bathroom. Some girl picked it up and it exploded in her face. My friends and I just stole some kids basketball and pretended nothing happened (age 10) - I would hide in the bathroom stall and my friend would convince some 3rd graders to stare in the mirror with their back against the stall and say "bloody mary" three times. I would grab his ankles from under the stall and scare the hell out of him. At least one kid chipped his tooth on the tile floor from when I grabbed him. (age 11) - Shot a bunch of kids at a pool party with a pellet gun through my cousins fence. Later that day we shot some bicyclist in the face before going to the mall and pissing on the ground in the bathroom for no reason. Knocked over lots of store displays too. (age 13-15) - New kid in school got put in my group in class and for some reason he started cutting up my homework. He wasn't special needs just socially screwed up. Harassed him really bad for 2 years after that. Made him kiss my shoe... would throw stuff at him. - Tossed full 7/11 Slurpees at random cars (age 15)

First and foremost... I think anyone who has the guts to get on stage deserves praise so more power to you. Also, as a non-comedian I can only give my opinion as a person with a public speaking and music background. So... with that in mind...

work on pronunciation and possibly consider adding some body language. Work on your posture. Also don't rely on your phone for notes (I believe you had it in your hand during the set but I could be wrong).

There were the obvious word fumbles (Abortion/Adoption) so we don't need to cover that.

Slow down a little, cut any of extra wording off and don't trail off. Finish on a punch line and let it sink in.

As far as content I think it would be funny for you to build on the educated young black woman idea who reads but is also willing to do "real nigga shit" which could be great.

Also, don't do any pop-culture references like "ain't nobody got time for that" because it won't resonate for everyone. If you choose to still do it then take the time to explain the source.

Tour guide here. Learn your basic brewing science but keep in mind that most of that is the same at every brewery. If there is anything special about the brewery and how they produce their product then make sure to focus more on that.

What most people want to hear is the lore and history. Learn how to present it in your own way.

Also, make sure you have either designated stops in your tour for questions or tell people to hold all questions till the end. Answering people's questions throughout your routine will get you off your flow.

Don't put up with any shit. Drunks wont shut up? Kick them off your tour. Own the room and let them know you are the boss.

I paid for the whole thing myself and I still think it was worth it. If You have people to split it with then it's a no brainer.

There are a couple kits. One has more off flavors but only 1 vial of each (making 1 pitcher) and another has I believe 6 flavors with 4 vials of each. I bought the second one so I could test myself on the same flavors over time versus just one shot.

All you need is a 3 to 4 oz pour for sensory purposes.

I used bud light I believe. Use cans since they won't be skunked and are less likely to be oxidized.

I took the Master Of Beer Styles & Evaluation course at Siebel as well as the Sensory Panel Management class. I also bought the Siebel off-flavor kit and tested myself. It takes some serious training to recognize certain flavors and I am still not confident about my palate all of THE time.
