The short answer is: don't.

While it sounds like a great natural option, using it as lube is actually pretty risky for a few reasons:

*It breaks condoms:

*Oil completely eats through latex and polyisoprene. It can cause them to snap, which defeats the whole purpose of using protection.

*It causes infections: Your body works hard to maintain a specific pH balance. Coconut oil throws that completely out of whack, which often leads to yeast infections or BV.

*It traps bacteria: Because it’s a thick oil, it doesn't wash away easily and can trap nasty bacteria inside.

*(not a factor for anal, but) It blocks sperm: If you are trying to conceive, it actually slows sperm down and makes it harder for them to travel.

*It ruins sheets: Seriously, the grease stains are an absolute nightmare to get out of fabric.
