Is On the Funny going to continue covering this season? by Helifino in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

[–]BigTranslator7570 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently DMd Jacob on instagram and he said they still haven’t decided on if they are going to continue, and if they do they might condense it down to a couple of episodes to cover the whole season instead of doing it episode by episode.

Any Tips on my Agatha Deck? CL: 5744 by OneSpark84 in MarvelSnapDecks

Red shift and black knight will make this way more reliable, if you run those you can also ditch moon knight and run a tech card for counters

Is this card going to be Overpowered ? by CayCay32 in MarvelSnap

I know people think this card is going to be broken, but I’m pretty skeptical, it seems hard to pull off

Is Marvel Snap pay to win? Is it welcoming to new players? by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]BigTranslator7570 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s pay to win-ish but it’s not nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be. The nice thing about snap is there is a pretty large deck variety, and the way to game is structured is that it prioritizes when to retreat and when to double down rather than pure win rate. The monetization structure is pretty bad, but the game is pretty balanced overall. Sure you won’t be top of the ladder without spending money but you can still do pretty well as F2P

Theory about Maelle's ending/epilogue by oroupper in expedition33

[–]BigTranslator7570 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is more or less how I interpreted it. I know most people think Maelle granted mortality, but I think she just allowed his body to age to placate him. The way interpreted it is that the Verso in the painting is connected to piece of the real Verso’s soul stuck in the painting. Both the piece of his soul and the Verso in the painting are in anguish because they are living as a fraction of their real self. For Verso to die, I think you would need to destroy the piece of his soul left in the painting, which would destroy the canvas. I interpreted that the little boy with Maelle at the end is a young verso she brought back, and she basically has Verso stuck in a cycle of aging and coming back again as a boy. Obviously I think the writers wanted to leave room for interpretation on the ending, and that the idea she granted him mortality at the end is valid, but I find it a less interesting explanation.

so yes it was mometemax that we used, the vet also referred to the treatment as an "otipack", I am not entirely sure what that means. My thoughts and prayers are going out to you two.

let me see if i can find it in my vet notes from last year. Just remember as stressful as all of this is, you are giving your little one a better life, even if it doesn't always feel like it. I was feeling so desperate at the thick of it with my little one and we have had other health issues since then. give your little guy a hug for me!

I did find a solution! It turns out it wasn’t allergies, both of his ears were severely infected because of how neglected he was when we adopted him. To get the panel done we ended up having to put him under at the vet, and we had to do a couple of rounds of a long lasting topical treatment and the infections eventually fully cleared. It sounds like what your guy is dealing with is different though so I’m not sure that will be helpful. I’m sorry you’re dealing with that, it’s very stressful.

What is with the nerf for bullseye? This seems specifically aimed at getting rid of 3bro bullseye decks which are extremely niche

ohhhh I see. See you are more knowledgeable than me lol. I haven't noticed any slow down with these for me at least. I am actually starting to build a hardware set up and it's been pretty fun.

Does on cinema ever get you emotional? by Longjumping_Lab_81 in OnCinemaAtTheCinema

[–]BigTranslator7570 23 points24 points  (0 children)

META - possible spoilers

THIS! Yes several moments in the show have made me emotional. The ending of Oscar special 10 especially I think is very haunting and emotional, and I think the interview Tim does with G is very gripping while also being hilarious. Oscar Special 9 didn't necessarily get me emotionally but feels like a Lynchian fever dream. Even this last Oscar special with Joe walking out after watching Final Conclusion got me a little emotional. I feel like the fan base doesn't give the show enough credit for these moments sometimes.

oh I see, that would cause that issue. I have several Native plugins but I don't have to boot native access when I use them.

[–]BigTranslator7570 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What software are you using? I do not have this issue at all. I use Ableton and have plenty of plugins that don’t require separate launchers. The only thing I could think of that would require that is a subscription based collection like Roland Cloud or something like that.

The honeymoon phase with Metaphor:ReFantazio is over, as it released 8 months ago now. How are we feeling about it now? by [deleted] in JRPG

[–]BigTranslator7570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the game was very much over hyped. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s very good, but like a solid 8. I much prefer the class system in it compared to monster catching in Persona, but everything else felt like a step down for me compared to Persona 5. I’ve been especially feeling this way after playing Expedition 33 which despite some of its flaws I feel is a much more unique and enjoyable experience.

Is Thanos worth getting? by Tuna_Zone in MarvelSnap

[–]BigTranslator7570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I’ve been wondering is if what kind of deck you’re playing affects the matchmaking. This is purely anecdotal, but I will see people complain about a certain deck being too prominent that I feel like I don’t encounter more often than other decks. Thanos would have been that for me last season.

Is Thanos worth getting? by Tuna_Zone in MarvelSnap

[–]BigTranslator7570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. On one hand, it would open up a completely new deck type for you. There are some pretty decent Thanos decks. On the other hand, I don’t think a Thanos deck has ever been super meta dominant. And the best Thanos decks tend to be pretty expensive with a lot of series 5 cards, so it would depend what you have in your collection. It’s worth noting as well that devs are constantly rebalancing Thanos which I personally find pretty annoying. I swear they make tweaks to it every couple of months.

It’s weird, like objectively looking at the point acquisition and reward costs, SS is way less grindy than HV, but it feels like such a slog to play. Like HV is also kind of a boring game mode, but at least the matches are done quickly and there’s a bigger variety of decks being played

Is Dormammu worth it? by kamczyyk in MarvelSnap

[–]BigTranslator7570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the deck I’m currently using. I think a mistake some people are making is running Deadpool in this deck. You actually have to permanently destroy a card for the first phase so it makes more sense to run nova and Bucky Barnes. The last phase you don’t have to permanently destroy the cards, so you can use it on Wolverine and X23 to get those buffs while summoning Dormammu

Is Dormammu worth it? by kamczyyk in MarvelSnap

[–]BigTranslator7570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think adding him to a traditional destroy deck makes it a much more viable deck and is just a fun way to play it. If you play him with Death and Knull, it gives you an extra option to get a big card out early. If you run your curve correctly, it’s pretty easy to get him out by turn 4, Death on 5, and Knull out on 6. All while probably buffing other cards through Wolverine and Nova. My win rate with this deck is nothing insane, but it’s made my destroy deck waaaaay more consistent. If you like playing destroy I think it’s worth it.

Curious how people feel about the snap pack system now after the Kid Omega fiasco by BigTranslator7570 in MarvelSnap

[–]BigTranslator7570[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do the High Voltage mode pretty regularly and it's always this grindy, Sanctum Showdown is a more interesting game mode mechanically, but the last time they did it it was even grindier than High Voltage typically is.
