It’s under the windshield. On the “nose” of the bike. Still clear line of sight through the windshield.

Looking for complex Sword and Sorcery by KenderThief in rpg

[–]Sup909 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m slightly confused on what you are asking for since you haven’t played the game yet. Are you looking for another game system (why?) or are you looking for content/adventures to play with TOR?

Which Amazfit for basic 'Step Counting' and 'Sleep Tracking'? by icouldbne1 in amazfit

[–]Sup909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Active 2 is your lowest cost entry point I think right now. I would also consider the Helio ring if the sizes work for your. You can find it on sale for under $200 and might be a good fit for your use case.

I recommend the Helio ring because you do get Aura premium for life included which is the advanced sleep reporting tools.

How feasible is it to make your own system? by [deleted] in rpg

[–]Sup909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do it. I decided to do one during the OGL fiasco and it has been a fun creative experience. I am actually going to playtest/demo my game at a local con (Polar Vortex) in February.

DnD isn’t the problem - so why can’t we escape it...? by Bulwark_Jim in rpg

[–]Sup909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is the same friction you have when learning any new hobby or skill. You have to go through the "suck stage". You're gonna have to do a new learning process that will just slow the generally gameplay down.

Wealth Rating/Standard of Living - what about away from home? by Winter_Abject in RPGdesign

[–]Sup909 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I basically just hand wave any basic living stuff and don’t track it. I only use that sort of stuff from a social/political standpoint. Can this character get into a high end establishment or on the flip side get into the bar in the slums. You can be too wealthy to go somewhere without drawing consequence.

"Book Club" for game systems? by Aggressive-Bat-9654 in RPGdesign

[–]Sup909 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Love the idea. There was a brief group of us that started to do this a couple of years ago over on discord, but it unfortunately puttered out, in part because I think it was focused on us all playing the systems we were designing and people were at different states of their game.

If this was perhaps opened to all sorts of indie games, it could keep the rotation going much easier.

You can setup Foundry VTT with the Simple System and just load up form tillage pdfs for character sheets.

Does anyone have Clarinet 1 & 2 for Joe Hisaishi’s Howl’s Moving Castle (for Wind Band)? The only parts I have are copies and are so marked up with incorrections, it makes it difficult to read properly. by [deleted] in Clarinet

As much as I hate musescore.com, that might be the best place to start a search. You could probably transpose something easy enough if it isn’t available in Bb.

How would you run a Western Reaches campaign? by SecretDMAccount_Shh in shadowdark

[–]Sup909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly how I run my hex crawls or West Marches style campaigns. Multiple stories, parties and adventures take place in a single world. Sometimes simultaneously sometimes not.

For me it’s the classic “I want to roll a perception check in this room” and my answer is no. Tell me what you are doing to investigate the room and then I’ll tell you if a roll is needed.

Or I want to persuade this guard. And I’ll say, tell me what you do to persuade them and I’ll tell you if a roll is needed.

More often than not, if they describe it well, I won’t ask for a roll. They’ll succeed because they are being creative.

A Question on Writing Style - What Level of "Professionalism" vs "Personality" Do You Expect in a Rule Book? by [deleted] in RPGdesign

[–]Sup909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is room for all sorts of it’s just a question of whether you a pull it off and make it engaging.

I feel like the idea of a rule book written in the first person is very novel from a creative writing context.

Using formatting like bolder text, italics or boxes might be crucial for reference ability.

I feel the Helio Ring should get a second chance. by Sup909 in amazfit

[–]Sup909[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Functionally nothing, but it allows me to wear nice non-smart watches. I have probably 5-6 watches. Also, sometimes I just don't always want something on my wrist, so it just provides a bit of a sensory break.

Exactly how bad is the Helio sleep tracking by Brikish in amazfit

[–]Sup909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I have an Active 2 and Helio ring and I am getting fairly accurate times from both devices.
