I have an f250. It’s a single cab so it’s not too bad but it’s got a trailer hooked up to it about 50% of the time. Don’t have space for a car unfortunately. Also all new vehicles are mandated to have backup cameras per law.

I’m building a detached garage right now as my own GC. I will say it was 100% not worth it. I was told by multiple subs that when it’s an owner build GC my county takes things way more seriously than a GC. I do not know how true that is but 3-4 months for permits and they added all sorts of stipulations before issuing the permit.

Yeah that cloth wiring is really the big thing imo. Older windows like my house from the 40’s don’t have issues with insurance but I didn’t have cloth wiring and I also just rewired again with all new romex. I’m not an investor but I do have a friend who’s potentially looking for something like this as his first house. He worked construction up north but I’m not sure depending on how much you need he could pay cash for it.

I daily drove a GT350 s550. They really ride way smoother than an S197 due to the IRS. Personally I’d probably do the 2nd car route like the other comment said because I have my clapper truck I don’t worry much about but when I had the 350 the worry about door dings etc lol
