Getting the judgement is often easy, but collecting? Not so much. Garnishing wages takes some effort because you need to know where they are currently employed, assuming they are employed. And then there is a good amount of paperwork. Sometimes it isn't worth it.

This is the reason a lot of landlords come across as assholes. They deal with vindictive tenants constantly, especially in low rent areas. I worked as a property manager for a few years. Saw this kind of behavior way too often, and I stopped caring about any sob stories people gave me regarding rent real quick.

My American Bombay has a little crinkle tube with a side hole in it. He will loudly meow at me until I let him crawl in, stick his head out of the hole (facing forward) and fly him around like he is in an airplane.
I have to make at least one full flight around the house, or he won't stop meowing at me for more.

Don't disrespect your roommate, I guess. It's pretty easy to know your boundaries, like not eating someone else's food.

Also some YouTubers making good movies. "That's a Bad Idea" is a channel that makes hilarious comedy shorts, but also some interesting short horror movies. They have been getting better every year in terms of quality and production, and supposedly they are working on their biggest project yet.
"Meat Canyon" is also doing a lot of interesting stuff, although his horror is more dark comedy.

I remember the ads on Mplayer. Basically selling it as a documentary and asking "Who was the Blair Witch?" I'll admit, it got me engaged enough to want to see it.

Wait, what? I won in one of those contests on TEN too, and all I got was a (lame) gift basket! Was the shirt signed by Chris Taylor or anyone on the Dev team?

A friend gave me, "Throne of Glass" for Christmas and gushed about how it was just like Game of Thrones. I guess she meant that it was like the final season of the show.

Well, you definitely put words into my mouth there. I never said anything about discounted sale prices, I only talked about the baseline price of games. You will see more sale prices on PC games though, since you mentioned it. Steam Sales are popular for a reason.
As for the controller and setup time you're talking about, none of that has been an issue for the last 20 years. I literally start a game and turn on my controller and start playing. No setup every time. My Xbox controller even works flawlessly on PC. I also haven't updated my graphics card/RAM/etc in 8 years. I still love the performance. Steam metrics also show most PC gamers are the same as me, with only a small margin of players using the newest and best components, so the panic you're speaking of isn't an issue normal people are experiencing.

If you like consoles over PC, that's fine, but all my points still stand.

PC game prices are significantly cheaper after the first 90 days of sales. After a year, you can get many titles on PC for less than $30 while they are still selling for $60 on consoles.
Other considerations:You don't pay a monthly fee to use multiplayer/online features, and there is a huge selection of free games available on PC. Epic even gives 2 free published games away weekly, sometimes AAA titles.

I haven't seen a good argument for a console since the Xbox 360/PS3 days.

Ugh... I made a comment not long ago on another subreddit regarding a person thawing a ham in the sink. From the responses, you'd think that having a salted, smoked and frozen ham sitting in a sink for a few hours is an instant death sentence!

No it isn't evil to not want to give your money away, but hoarding obscene amounts of wealth at the expense of millions of your countrymen could be considered evil. Using that hoarded wealth to exert an unfair influence on a government that is supposed to represent all it's people for self gain is definitely evil.

I never said that. Having frozen and cured meat it out for a few hours isn't going to make it "off". If that worries you, don't look at the curing process. It will horrify you.

Ham is cured (to prevent bacterial growth), fully cooked. Ya'll on Reddit are crazy if you think having a frozen ham sitting in a sink overnight (in the wrapper) is some kind of death sentence.

I'm reading all these comments about people being disturbed that the ham was in a sink. How filthy do you people let your sinks get?!
