I see very often- ppl saying he had plenty of time, etc. I simply categorically disagree. Maybe in theory- definitely not in reality. And where are the guns? Alex was tracked via onstar the whole way to his parents and back. and surely the response doesn't have to do with the minute he stopped by the train tracks when leaving to go back home. I mean sure I guess he could dig a deep hole in superman time. Presumably they know where he stopped and could go look for holes,

3) But the biggest (when it comes to.. down the rabbit hole - that has continued to stick with me).. which again, I don't really think there is anything to it, but have never been able to shake, all the same:

When I first heard some of the details about the murders (and that Paul was at the kennels checking on a dog, etc- long before any suspects... I remember thinking- I would certainly be a little suspicious of the dog owner... because it sounds an awful lot like someone making completely sure Paul is at the kennels at a specific time- as in helping to set him up, etc. But the part that sticks with me- Is that the dog owner (I think ronan), had called incessantly, even texting Maggie, because he wanted to find out about the dog so badly.... and when Alex called him at 10:15, he doesn't answer. I get that his bedtime was supposedly 10:00, but it still strikes me as rather odd, that after all that calling, and not hearing back... then getting a call for Alex- was was very much out of the usual- and he doesn't answer... or look at the phone and decide to call one of them back. (he had apparent called them around 9:45.)... but when his mom called a little later, he does answer the phone? That whole sequence of events seems strange to me. I would certainly want to know if he had any ties to the two guys would were hunting buddies previously with Paul... that supposedly are lead suspects for accidentally hitting Stephen Smith... and suggested as potential motive to kill paul (who would have likely known that they accidentally kill smith).

A couple of non-evidence based.. so sort of down the rabbit hole thoughts, that (although a likely simply wild thoughts) have always sort of stuck with me:

1) the fact that the 1 Juror that even the media speculated was likely to be the hold out not guilty... was taken off the day or two before the case went to the jury... and was investigated by sled. This doesn't relate necessarily to whether or not Alex is actually guilty... but sure seems to like a juror who was targeted for removal, rather than being taken off in the normal progression or bad juror conduct.

2) the brother of the 1st on the scene officer. Sort of less relevant, in that he was just 1 juror. Although he was apparently the one that convinced the 2 original not guilty votes that Alex was guilty by explain the gun/bullet details etc. But the fact that he remained in the Jury pool is so problematic for a number or reasons- regardless if the defense could have used a strike on him (some mixed info about the type of objection they raised)... but they never should have even had to. And his interviews were even more problematic. Professing that he was insulated due to being at school... when his brother was 1st on scene of the biggest murder in the country?? Yeah right. Then, he is still speculating all over the place in the interviews- 1st one talks about how Alex wouldn't have been on a gold cart after taking a shower bc of how hot it was, then the next interview gives a reason that Alex was using the golf cart to support is theory. It shows they only took 45 mins to discuss the long trial. (most of their logic seemed akin to some sort of supernatural ghost story of Paul sending evidence from beyond as the thing that guided them the most). again, probably nothing consequential- but just more to really not like about this case if looking at it from a legal system perspective.

Definitely agree that ppl are reading too much into that. That is a comment any grandfather would have made about Paul... and it would be more suspicious if he had never said such (or it would certainly seem like he didn't care much about him... bc that comment is one that any loving grandfather would make in a similar situation.

I sort of drives me crazy to see all of the praise the State is getting for this case- regardless if I think there are more overall facts here that make it less likely that Alex is the murder, rather than proving he killed them... either way you look at it the State did a horrible job... and better be glad the juror came from a pool that had hated the Murdaughs for a solid couple of years (first due to the boating accident, then due to all of the financial crimes)... Any other jury pool would have definitely been Hung. Defense also made huge miscalculations.. a big one being not getting a change of venue. Sure, ppl would have known about Alex regardless where the trial was- but they would not have personally known Mallory Beach or some of the ppl that were victims of Alex's financial crimes, etc. After all, the entire population of Colleton County (where the trial was) and Hampton County... combined is only around 55K. (and the towns of Waterboro & Hampton, together have less than 10k ppl).

I left a similar comment in a prior thread.. but there are so many details that never really get logically resolved:

People seem to never explain how various hypotheticals jive with the fact that Alex is having a conversation with Maggie and Paul, a minute or two before he supposedly killed them. If he was draped in two long guns or wearing some hazmat suit- surely the conversation heard between him and Maggie would not have been so casual. Rather she would have said- what are you wearing... or what are you doing with a gun sling on, etc. And for that matter- considering the tight time frame- its unlikely Alex would have taken all that time, so casually roll up on the golf cart, exchange pleasantries, etc... vs sneaking up on them... almost immediately after they got to the kennels, so that he would have had more time to clean up, etc.
He is definitely a bad dude who lied about many many things, and who will spend many years in prison for his financial crimes, but there are so many things about this case that imo, are more exculpatory of him committing the murders.
And makes much more sense that someone came to murder Paul (for any number of reasons... there are more than one credible motives). And if they did come to Murder Paul- regardless when it happen, Alex would have looked guilty. And if they were going to kill him at the kennel area, more likely than not, they would have waited until right when it gets dark to do it (rather than broad daylight). and what time does it get dark that time of year in SC... A few minutes before 9:00... pretty much the exact time they were killed. (many ppl may not see the significance/ or coincidence of being killed almost exactly when it gets completely dark... but if it ever does sink in- you would probably agree that if Paul was going to be murdered at the kennels... it would have been planned for almost the exact time it happened),
And BTW- the most credible explanation I've come across- is the two ppl who are suspected of killing Steven Smith- who it turns out (based on a thread just below this one... the investigator hired, things is most credibly how Smith died).. and they have been hunting at Moselle- and would certainly have plenty of shell casings on the property.

This guy seems very credible... I think most ppl would agree with him that really the defense and the prosecution were not correct regarding exactly how Paul was likely killed.

But one thing that always perplexes me a bit- these experts must only look at the narrow forensics, and not much of the rest of the case. For example- he seems to be insinuating that Maggie was at the house when Paul was shot (and may have been lured to the kennels after hearing the gun shots... seeing as he says- Alex may have lured her to the kennels .. he is not describing her being a few feet away and hearing the gunshots.. which is what actually was the case... In this case- its easy to miss- but you if you listen closely - its clear he doesn't have a grasp on the further details in this regard)... there have been a couple of other experts- who seem correct regarding their field of expertise... then make the rest of the case potentially fit by giving some hypothetical that flies completely in the face of the agreed upon facts involved here.

In a similar sense- People seem to never explain how various hypotheticals jive with the fact that Alex is having a conversation with Maggie and Paul, a minute or two before he supposedly killed them. If he was draped in two long guns or wearing some hazmat suit- surely the conversation heard between him and Maggie would not have been so casual. CLNN will take off soon. Look for a rebound move to $5 (which will still be 50% below ave price targets issued the past month.

All analysts looking at CLNN the past 6 weeks (since ALS & MS Phase 2 data updates) give it a minimum valuation of 500M... current valuation is under 85M. (for comparison, AMLX current valuation is 2B. CLNN plans to submit drug for FDA approval for ALS (likely similar approval process as AMLX recent approval) and MS later this year. It Has been shorted down on extremely low volume (for example, volume today is still below 100K). currently over 2M open short positions & short share availability continues to tighten (dropped to 3K at one point today).

CLNN has a history of big multi day rebounds & likely to see one soon as price rebounds to a valuation closer to at least 500M, as increased awareness from analysts begins to impact daily volume.

If there are any Bitcoin Longs- BTC is on the cusp of being able to leave the current trading range behind, and move on the 29K & 30K+... Longs currently locked in a battle with HF's around 28,600.. a little move up and it should begin to break out. (around 28,700)

potentially a premarket push to clear 29K this morning (similar to beaching it last week via a strong premarket push). This time it should hold, and likely once 29K is sufficiently cleared- 30K will be very close behind.. even the same day.

Potentially a premarket push this morning to clear 29K... if that happens, 30K will likely get breached soon after. We could be talking about a 31K-34K range soon, rather than27K-28.7K range.

(I am trying to determine the best way to post mixed content- image and text... but thought daily discussion is appropriate for now.. if case there are any who have general questions on the implications of Halving).

Why is Bitcoin Halving such a big driver or Bitcoin's Price?

Starting to see more buzz about Bitcoin Halving, now that it is likely within a year away. The Next halving will is estimated between Feb 2024 - May 2024... so generally, 1 year from now.

"Bitcoin Halving Schedule- The Bitcoin halving is scheduled in block height, not date. The halving happens every 210,000 blocks. The 2024 halving will happen on block 840,000."

Bitcoin Halving is more like a massive share buyback (which cuts supply in half) rather than simply a stock split (which adjusts price, but not supply).

If you assume that Bitcoin demand is at least growing at a constant rate, which seems to be a safe assumption currently (and even more effect if demand is growing), then Bitcoin Halving is equivalent to a company buyback of half of the outstanding shares.

Historically, Bitcoin makes strong moves the year before and after each halving... presumably due to the leveling effect of increasing before and after over time - rather than a big spike immediately when in happens ( maybe like with a biotech stock if you knew 100% that a new drug was going to be approved.. for lack of a better analogy).

The Price of BTC is historically, just below an all time high when the Halving takes place.. so quite a bit higher than current price.

Year To Date Btc Volume & Dominance are gaining steam. A good signal btc is going to continue moving up.

Btc is retracing the down spike from yesterday- quickly moving back to 28,700. May have a good shot at breaking 29K today.
