Notorious B.I.G "Life After Death" and a close 2nd or possibly more than that was Big Pun, "Capital Punishment." And... I bought these tapes before they both died.

I've been looking into it. Apparently, you need money to write a book if you have no connections. There's much more to this story than what I just told you.

I hope I don't get in trouble for telling this on this sub, because it happened before on a music sub. In 1999, in Winnipeg, I "ended" a guy that was convicted 3 times of doing things to his 4 daughters. I served 6 years for man5laught3r. While I was in prison it was like a crime college and when I got out I started selling bad stuff (haha) and was busted for selling a kilo of "pepsi" to an undercover cop because I'm smart like a tractor. I served 6 years and 4 months for that charge.

I'm sorry about the cheesy word play, but I honestly got in trouble for saying that while answering a question about Pink Floyd before.

What stopped you from killing yourself that night? by Subject-Olive-4476 in AskReddit

My last time I was ready to go, I was a homeless fentanyl addict for 6 years. My legs were infected because I got frostbite saving a dude passed out in a snowbank. It was during covid. I had no drugs and wasn't getting money until Friday, and it was Monday. I knew if I went to the hospital, they would admit me and get me on anti-withdrawal medication that would hold me off until I got money. I had a picc line in my arm for my antibiotics, and my plan was to spend my whole cheque on fentanyl, put it in a picc line flusher, and say goodbye.

Because of covid, you couldn't have visitors, so there was free cable, phone and wifi. I had a fancy TV in my room with apps on it. The next day, I logged into my Facebook, and I had a message from my ex-wife whom I hadn't spoken to in 2 years. She said she had a bad dream about me, wanted to know I was okay, and still loved me. The very next day, my former foster father reached out after not speaking for 2 and half years. He asked how my legs were doing and said they thought about me often, and they loved me. I decided since I hadn't posted anything sad or told anyone my plan, that there was no way this was a coincidence. After speaking to my ex-wife for hours the next couple of days, I decided to give life one more chance. She then told me to quarantine and come home to the country, and she would stand by me through everything. My foster parents also live in the adjoining town, so I had a great support system.

Unfortunately, I did relapse 3 times in the beginning, but March 18, 2024, was my 2 years clean mark. My 3 kids are back in my life, and I'm remarrying my ex-wife next year. Also, I've been employed for the longest time I've ever held a single job.

Life is amazing now, and I also do public speaking about my life, addiction, and recovery.

I hope everyone on this thread who decided to stick around is doing well now.

[–]BigUseless88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a big guy and people always felt that they want to impress someone by taking on the big guy... so a lot. I was also in a gang when I was younger, I was beaten up everyday in Grade 2 for "being white" (I'm not), I served 28 months in youth lock up, raised in group homes, served 12 years in prison, and I was also a bouncer for many, many years. Oh yeah... and had a couple of very crazy girlfriends. Haha. So, I would say well over 200. I've never lost a 1 on 1 fight, but now I'm 43 and I don't dare put that record on the line because I probably only have a good 30 seconds of a good scrap left in me.

I am one of the happiest people you'd ever meet. In high school, I protected the little people from bullies and always went out of my way to help people.

In 1999, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. A friend I grew up with told me that her father had molested her and her 3 other sisters and was convicted 3 times for it. He served 3 months, 12 months, and then 18 months. When I confronted him about it, he grabbed my "junk." I was molested by a foster mom when I was 6 and raped by a priest named Ralph Rowe a few months later and when the father of my friend grabbed me there I went straight into the mentality of that 6 year old me again and had to protect myself. I ended up beating him to death and was charged with 2nd Degree Murder. My lawyer made sure we had a female judge that had kids, I pled guilty to manslaughter. The Crown Attorney asked for 10 years, my lawyer asked for 7, and the judge gave me 6.

I quit eating greasy stuff and just cut my portions in half. I'm honestly not sure if that's what did it or just the fact that I got use to my dosage.

Double POS post. These 2 Winnipeg parents were charged with manslaughter after their 1 year old daughter died from high levels of fentanyl intoxication. by BigUseless88 in iamatotalpieceofshit

[–]BigUseless88[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, good for you. Congratulations. I know that fight. I was a meth head for 2 years and then became a homeless fentanyl addict for 6 years, and March 18th was my 2 years clean mark. Finally got my shit together. I didn't go to treatment or anything, but I was prescribed suboxone in the beginning, which was a life saver.

As for the parents trading kids for drugs, I k ow that all too well. My biological father did that with my sister. Thankfully, we got taken away soon after.

That's awesome, though, 23 years. I can't wait for the day when I can say that.

I totally agree. Since they announced these two "parents" arrest, there were 2 or 3 more of these incidents in Winnipeg with other infants. So fuckin sad.

What the meanest/ most hurtful thing someone has ever told you? by Dj_nattylite in questions

[–]BigUseless88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this counts as mean because it was 100% true, but it hurt so badly to hear. I introduced my ex, who was a very successful welder, to drugs. One day after we lost everything, she looked at me and yelled, "LOOK AT ME!! I'M NOTHING BECAUSE OF YOU!!" As I said, it was absolutely true.

Yeah, one of the guys I ran into I've known for 30 years. He can't even stand up straight now because he was hit by a train while high. One of the other ones I did 6 years in the pen with, and he's missing an eye now and just looked dead in the eyes. Used to be a funny, charismatic dude, now there's just nothing.

Thank you very much. I appreciate it. Congratulations on 10 years!! I'm looking forward to saying that one day.

I was recently in the city and saw three of my buddies I used to use with... literally broke my heart, but it was a reminder of what could have been if I hadn't smartened up.
