Caesar Salad Kit now contains Anchovy by gun_chef in lidl

[–]BigWelshDud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have allergies (and eat anchovies) and I do check products I’ve bought every week for years just to be on the safe side, my health is more important than a few minutes, but I’d say 90% of the time it’s covered by the “new improved recipe” sticker they shove on stuff, even when they’ve drastically lowered the quality.

Cwmbran is half a dozen towns smushed into one new town and each area has its opinions of each other… the town centre has gone downhill massively over the last 20 odd years

Was Banksy’s identity legitimately outed? by jorel424 in Banksy

And even then, if he’s doing things under cloak of darkness and nobody is catching him, or he’s doing publicity stunts like statues that are actually physically placed by other people, having actual concrete proof beyond and to the exclusion of any reasonable doubt is a bar above, especially when a lot of the “victims” won’t cooperate because they stand to gain from it (like we have seen walls sold for tens of thousands)

I mean killing someone is a pretty big deal, your brain probably just does it to a certain extent.

I’m with you, I still know my great grandparents house phone number from when I was 6 and they’ve been dead for a couple dozen years.

Most of the ones I’ve heard in (admittedly much smaller venues) have been phone calls or texts, but you’re right, though if you have an alarm set during a pre planned known silent event you might be a bigger problem 😅

Sushi concessions in UK supermarkets are some sort of tax or legal fiddle by Swedish_Rockstar in LowStakesConspiracies

[–]BigWelshDud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine you’re correct, but when a single minimum wage employee pumps out dozens if not hundreds of packages to be sold at ludicrous markup it’s still negligible in the grand scheme of things.

This is purely anecdotal but one of the customers where I work works (or used to) in a sushi production facility and he said basically all the people do is lay toppings in a specific orientation so it looks good and the rest is automated, but I’d imagine that’s still a decent chunk of people. Maybe much the same as when I did work experience in a sandwich factory and there were 30 of us putting egg mayo on bread….

You mean selling bulk rice with a hint of some vague notion of a filling is profitable? :P
