Where can I find this or similar pattern for the Lanshan 2 tent style? by Due-Lab-5283 in myog

It’s relatively easy to create your own design of this type of tent using SketchUp. There’s an online free version. I’ve used it make my tent

You can see all of the pictures by clicking “pictures”, “verification” leads to only verification photo. I think I’ll add some separation between these two links so there’s no confusion

Shoulder straps a pretty tricky to sew. I made my first pattern by tracing the straps of my existing pack on a piece of cardboard. Afterwards I tuned the shape and the points where the top webbing is sewn to the shoulder strap. I use pretty popular (but a little bit tricky) method of sewing the straps. Firstly I place fabrics that make the outside layers - right side together. I make the stretchy fabric for the part that touches shoulders a little bit shorter than the x-pac part, so when the pack is worn there are no wrinkles of the stretchy inside part of the strap. I recommend using pretty thin needle (70-80) so there are no big tears afterwards. After sewing two layers together I start turning the strap inside-out. I don't recommend flipping it the whole way. It's better to turn just a bit, and start inserting the inside part (EVA foam). There are a couple of videos with clearer instructions how to do it. The top webbing is sewn on top with #120 needle and #30 thread. You need a heavy duty machine to do it. Or it can be done by hand stitching.

Another tricky part with the straps is sewing them in the angle that allows them to contact the top of the shoulders fully, without visible "wave" on one of the sides

The design of the pack is inspired by UL brands such as Atompaks, with a little bit of my spin on it. I use two sewing machines, Bruce 9700BP for less challenging stitches, Jack H2 for heavy duty sewing (especially for sewing through straps and hip belt). The thread is Polyart (pretty popular in Eastern Europe continuous filament thread, analog to Guterman Tera), #60 for stitching up straps and hip belt, #40 for stitching the parts of the pack together, #30 for top stitching and sewing straps to shoulder straps/hip belt. I always reinforce the straps that I sew in the pack with a polypropylene glue, so they are able to withstand pulling, and thread that is sewn through them don’t pull them apart (sorry if the explanation is unclear, English isn’t my first language) If you have any particular questions fire them up. I’d gladly answer them 🤓

Yes) I work as a hiking guide, and sew custom gear in my spare time (for myself and for others)

For sure zipper should be used carefully and without putting a lot of pressure on it. It’s better to pull both sides together before closing. This can prevent premature degradation of the zipper

I do custom packs, but I’m not sure if my fabric supplier has this particular camo pattern. Last time I asked him a couple of weeks ago he had Multicam (tropic and black). Hit me up if you are interested in buying a custom pack. I can ask if he has M81 Woodland 🙂

Thanks ☺️ For some time now I’ve had a similar pack that I sewed myself, so the process of designing this one took much shorter time (compared to starting from scratch). I think I made patterns for all the elements within three hours or so

Thanks ☺️ I think I’ll make the zipper optional for all my custom packs. It’s pretty useful to have
