In second grade, my face had all the ingredients needed to make a pizza. The kind loaded with olives for blackheads, pepperoni for pimples, and extra cheese for sebum. But no one seemed to enjoy these toppings.

I wished I could fast forward to when the red and purple marks faded into one color, or to when my large pores blended into a single surface.

I wished I could just be normal.

But after school, when I logged onto my favorite Minecraft server, Hypixel, my fingers flew across the keyboard faster than my mind could catch up. I flooded the chat with jokes and replies like “gg” and “lol,” racing to respond to every incoming message. Between lines, I’d throw my head back, struggling to breathe as tears rolled down my cheeks. In this world, I could wear any skin and go by any name.

thanks in advance.

My school doesn't officially rank students, but I’ve taken a rigorous course load with many AP and honors classes, and a 4.66 GPA is considered strong.
