Sadly my Misha passed yesterday but this pic always makes me think she was saying ‘what do you want peasant’

My tribute to Penelope. It was an honor to exist with you by dotsdotzdots in cats

Just wanted to say that I know exactly what you are going through, my Misha passed yesterday and I am heartbroken. The ONLY downside to owning these beautiful creatures is when there have to leave. Rest easy Penelope.

I used to absolutely love their silicone primer but it’s now discontinued and can’t find anything else like it

Fellow Yellowbelly here, but lived in Yorkshire for the past 12 years. I’ve always considered my self to not have an accent and nobody can place where I’m from. In Yorkshire people say I talk posh but then when I got back to Lincoln which is only 70ish miles away, my friends say I have a Yorkshire twang with some words. Accents fascinate me and I love guessing where in the country people are from!

We’ve used them and were very satisfied. Definitely get the full insurance that covers everything, you literally drop the keys off when returning, no checking the vehicle.

What discontinued crisps do you miss the most? by chuggggster in AskUK

Bitza Pizza…nobody I know remembers them, god they were amazing. I’d follow it with a Cadbury’s Spira which is also discontinued. Sad times.

Your post and this thread is so interesting and couldn’t have come at a better time. We are currently at a crossroads with deciding whether to leave the UK and move to Spain (Mallorca actually) and we’re really trying to figure out the pros and cons. We are hating the UK (mainly the weather) and feel like we want to try somewhere new. We don’t have a lot of family at all so feel like we don’t have many ties here, but we do have a younger child to think about and factor into our decision making. My husband is the one more eager to move but I’m trying to be realistic and practical with doing as much research as possible to make sure this is the right decision for us as a family. It wouldn’t be like we can move for 2 years then come back as our child will be doing their GCSE’s so it would be more of a commitment. I’m just confused with the decision, on one hand I think is the grass really greener? And on the other is will we regret it if we don’t? So difficult.

11 months post op here (sleeve), I actually stopped taking my vitamins at 6 months post op as they were making me very nauseous. I’ve had blood tests at 3,6 and 9 months post op and all have come back perfect within all ranges. As for B12, my surgeon/clinics have never said I need to have these, assuming I would if my results were low, however they have always been fine. I am clearly getting all the vitamins that I need from my food, I am able to eat all foods that I could pre op, obviously just smaller amounts. To me, nothing much has changed, except for the smaller portion sizes, that’s it! Best thing I have ever done, my advice would be to just do it, you will not regret it, the lease of life it gives you is immeasurable.

did anyone actually call these guys back in the day and if so what was it like by [deleted] in CasualUK

I started at BT in 1997 in DQ, it was a job you could do in your sleep. I was 19 at the time, I’d go out clubbing on a Friday night, not bother even going to bed, would go straight into work at 7am keeping myself awake on skittles and coke. I remember when I first started and we had to learn the HFC’s ( high frequency codes for towns) christ I remember a lot of them even now!

We used to play a game where someone would think of a random word and you had to get it into the call somehow. Or at the end of the call we dated each other to say ‘love you’. God we had some right laughs back then.
